He could have said "I'll give you an extra week to rest."
-
The ref was poor but didn't effect the game.
-
He picked the team, it was his starting 11. I'm not sure how many were forced on him by injury but Given in goal and N'Zogbia in defence was shocking. I'd have put a kid in midfield today to give that area some much needed pace.
-
Agreed, also stupid and an unnecessary risk by Keegan to select him.
-
Keegan has to take some blame for today, his starting 11 was poor.
-
The whole team were shite for most of the game, except Milner and possibly Harper when he came on. Given, another very poor display, he did nothing right today but Keegan screwed up by playing him. Beye, looked OK at times but was caught out far too often. N'Zogbia, had a nap for the first goal but wasn't helped by a static Given who seems to be tied to the goal line. Taylor, gifted them 2 goals and did a spin that Parker would have been proud of. Faye, poor in defence but got the goal. Butt, shit. Barton, Shit. Smith, shit. Milner, the best of a bad bunch. Owen, tried but didn't deliver, he wasn't given anything by others. Duff, so slow and runs into areas where we'll get nothing from.
-
Give over, Smith is shit, Barton is shit and if Duff gets any slower he'll go backwards, Viduka can't even retain any sort of level of fitness to get a run in the team. We pay roughly £55 million in wages for that shower of shite.

I can't believe you've just typed that, even worse that you're probably right. This team reminds me of when bobby Shinton top scored with 7 goals.
-
A bit of both, I haven't seen him any more than what is shown on the box, thinking he's a dirty bastard isn't based on one tackle.
-
Maybe the thought of a thick dirty bastard possibly ending the career of another player doesn't sit well with some people.
-
I can't understand anybody defending that, pathetic.
-
I agree with that.
-
I doubt he intended to break his leg, I'm not even sure if he meant to hurt him as I've only seen still photo's, the tackle was as bad as you can get, accidental or not.
-
The Taylor one wasn't, he went in with the studs at 90' to the ground, that tackle is shocking.
-
I've seen one still and the tackle looks terrible from that angle.
-
If, and I'll say it again if, he went out to get him then yes, and it doesn't make it any better what somebody else may or may not have done something in the past, I'd say the same if one our players had done it.
-
It doesn't matter if he tried to break his leg, if he went in to kick Eduardo and not the ball then he should be hung out to dry.
-
I haven't seen the tackle but if he went out to get him then he shouldn't be allowed to play again.
-
If that's the case Taylor should never be allowed to play football again.
-
2-1 to us, I've got this stupid feeling that things might go our way today although I've got nothing to back that up with.
-
Stick it in the middle of the goal mouth and it will get more deflected goals than Smith will score for us.
-
You think if Vinnie gave him another squeeze, it would set him straight? Like they used to do in the Flinstones? I was behind the goal that day, he was squeezing his nuts all game, I think the ref was the only person who didn't know what was going on, blind bastard, we were going mad at him.
-
Is that the "nasty man" who sits amongst the fans wearing a football top.
-
Let's hope not, especially as we're in a better position off the field than we've been in for a while. How much do you think Allardyce would have had to spend in we weren't bought out?
