Great, you must be very happy with how things are going then! Keep laughing at your own jokes - there must be a village somewhere missing your services.

You've probably missed the thread regarding the clubs latest accounts where Ernst & Young added the following: At 30th June 2008 the Group had net liabilities of £36.3m, which includes loans from Mr M J W Ashley totalling £100m. Net liabilities were £22.6m. Subsequent to the year and the ultimate controlling party, Mr M J W Ashley, has provided additional funding of £10m. This funding, together with newly agreed bank facilities, has been incorporated into the Directors' cash flow forecast for the Group. These forecasts indicate that the Group can continue to meet its debts as they fall due for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements. The Directors have also received a commitment from its parent undertaking. St James Holdings Limited and from ultimate controlling party Mr M J W Ashley that they will continue to provide the Group with financial support so that it can meet its debts as they fall due for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements or up until the date of any change in control. On this basis, the Directors have prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis. Basically, without the money Ashley has put in and has promised to carry on doing so, we would be out of business as you can't trade while insolvent. I expect that's true of all the privately owned clubs in the prem, so what? He should have known what he was in for when he bought the club. If he can't afford it, he should sell to someone who can.

Time? That goes without saying, 47K there against Spurs doing exactly that, the same if not more going today to do exactly that. John Beresford in this month THE MAG said "even with everything going on the fans have always backed the team, unlike other clubs where they sometimes turn on the players". TBH this months Mag is well worth read. And he's right. That's one thing guaranteed with us - we'll support the club if not always the man or men. It's only a few moths ago since you said you'd given up on the club (for the umpteenth time) ffs. f***ing spare me. please god dig up that quote. it'll go great with his "newcastle are the best club in my world" rant a few weeks ago. And they are the best club in the world, to me and to all those that follow the club. Muppets like you however take such throw away comments literally and store them in your tiny brain waiting to trip someone up one day because that's all this forum is about these days, point scoring, bringing up what people said in the past and trying to use it against them and to be honest its sad. No wonder a good number of good posters no longer seem to post here. "please god dig up that quote" You sound like a right little bitch. I'll try and find it for you if it means that much to you. giving up on the club and now the forum. you're more like keegan than i give you credit for. you any good at golf? We wouldn't be a so-called "big club" if it wasn't for Keegan. Why do you keep slagging him off?

It's not acceptable but we've got to move on from this. We are still in a relegation dog fight and our only priority is to get enough points to keep ourselves in the PL. Never mind this big club/small club shite, what does it matter if you get relegated? Our fate will be decided by how we fare against our fellow relegation battlers, not against the top 6. We need to bring in a few players to improve the team and fast, starting with a decent left back and someone in the middle who can both run and play football (unlike Butt). I don't know where they're going to come from but it's time our soopa-doopa transfer system did its stuff and got in the players we need. Ashley needs to stick his hand in his pocket and spend some money. If there's an emergency kitty, now's the time. Fuck Liverpool. We're so not in their league it's embarrassing but we knew that already. But we do need to guarantee we're better than the bottom 3 come the end of the season, we need to improve the squad as it's not apparent to me that we currently are.

You forgot to add "Ashley looking to f*** off and handing his notice in at the first sign of things going wrong" as well That is not bottling that is called classed as "LISTENING TO THE FANS" When KK walks, he's a quitter, a bottler. When Ashley walks, he's listening to the fans, been hounded out, been hurt by a few boos, shame on those so-called supporters etc. Its all our fault you know. ive just said ashley is a bottler. at least we KNOW he had a slight justification for going. we DONT know if keegan did and based on his history its very questionable if he did. Actually I'd say the reverse is true. In his career Ashley has terrorised business opponents, made aggressive takeovers, stuck two fingers up to city analysts and shareholders, made wholesale redundancies and cutbacks, ruined long established brands that have taken decades to build up, raided stocks and so on. Do you honestly think he gives a toss what you, me, a bunch of charvas in front of the Sky cameras or the NUSC think of him? The reverse is true of KK, which if you'd been around throughout his first tenure, which I doubt, you'd maybe understand. how is this translated into the football world, a world completely different from where he came from? he's still a beginner in the football world and he's had decades of experience in the business world. keegans justification for quitting is debatable enough for it to now be a court case btw. and yes, i started supporting newcastle in 1991 and im from the area so you cant play that card. I think that's the point. I don't think he sees his investment in the toon as any different to any of his other investments. To think he'd cut and run at the first sign of discontent is laughable. As you say, we don't know the reasons behind Keegan's departure so I don't know why you're so definite he's a quitter. But given their respective histories, I know who I trust out of the two of them; I wouldn't trust Ashley to mind my pint while I went to the toilet. I'm not playing any "card" btw. I just couldn't understand why anybody who'd been through Keegan's first tenure could dislike him, as you seem to. Apologies for making the assumption.

Good of the club my f***ing anus - nobody will pay his price so he attempts to get back in in - and there are complete idiots who actually buy it. Also the timing meant to deflect from the Bobby Robson day should see the c*** shot. Nah, howay man, he loves the club. The man can f*** off. He's been feeding the media with little bits here, little bits there, to pave the way for this. He's as dishonest as the day is long and has no backbone whatsoever. He's a cretin and an opportunist. As long as he remains we will go nowhere from this point, look forward to Kinnear getting a new deal in the summer, more limited net spending and more empty seats. I can see crowds of 35K next season unless he spends big in Jan, again in the summer and appoints a top manager. Will it happen? Will it f***. f***s sake. And when things don't improve under his control? What then will your stance be? I suspect you'll be screaming f***s sake at Ashley. they were improving until a combination of keegan bottling it and the fans "protest" f***ed up our season. Yeah, it's the fans' fault. Thankfully fewer of them will be turning up next season by all accounts.
-
I think he wil probably have a cheese and ham toastie, washed down with a nice cold lager. Then possibly a shit, which is more than he gives for the toon fans and Sir Bobby Robson. imo of course.
-
The club will continue to be run responsibly, so no need to worry about signing established stars on big wages. Sounds to me like Joe will need to find some bargains....
-
If we nip into the Champions League, sign a few world class players, and offer as good a wage as he can get elsewhere, then I'm inclined to agree with you. Can't see him being impressed by the Waffa and its low profile ties with obscure Eastern European and Scandinavian teams. Signing for us would be the last resort imo.
-
Hard to decide whether that's a step up or step down tbh. He looks the part anyway, like an ugly baggy faced wino
-
I think he's made his decision, he's just delayed telling us. Off in the summer on a free, probably abroad to a CL club
-
Trying to get a cheque out of Ashley for the money he owes Freshfields would be my guess

Allardyce team talk: Enters dressing room. * chew, chew, chew * "Listen up lads. Aim for the stars. Reach for the skies. Hoof up the ball. Safety first. Show 'em who's boss. Now let's stick it up 'em! C'mon!" * chew, chew, chew * Leaves dressing room.

I don't miss him at all. Epitome of the modern footballer tbh. All image, no substance, no end product, legend in his own opinion, more interested in partying and his own PR than the club's success. And couldn't stay fit. His talent's been wasted really.
-
I think you're doing him a disservice. He cracks jokes and puts the cones out as well.
-
Aye and what bullshit that is. The science of hoofing the ball forward is what that twat stands for. While his mates in the press are bumming him, the poor Blackburn fans are going to suffer his anti-football. Good luck lads, you'll need it.
-
-
Fat Sam might well keep them up by boring the opposition to death. Once the Rovers fans realise just how shit his long ball football is to watch, the crowd will consist of assorted backy-slaps on day release, an old man, his dog and a tin of baked beans. The baked beans will be there against their will. Sam's backroom staff will outnumber the paying fans by 10 to 1.

It looks like a printer to me. Iconic stadium, my arse
-
"If results keep coming" being the key words. I'm not going to get as excited as you yet, I might do if we keep progressing.
-
Good. There'll be a village somewhere with a vacancy for an idiot.
-
He's done a good job but he's no more than an average manager imo. He's got till the end of the season to prove me wrong but I'd want him replaced as things stand.
-
Plenty of managers showing interest until the fans hoyed their toys out of the pram with their daft protests, the sad thing is some of us could see that no good was going to come from it and would end up hurting the club more than helping it. From the likes of Deschamps and Terim showing interest to Kinnear and Venables, the protests clearly done the trick. I think it's more likely they saw the deal on the table and decided against it
