  1. LOL http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/live_scores/default.stm
  2. Profit No quotes or anything to back it up. Pure speculation. Didnt mean that article just Ashley in general
  3. That fat lad in the away end better be reading this thread so he can get one
  4. Pardew will not risk him imho as he will want experience but i would play him
  5. Yes get a crocked player in just about sums us up tbh
  6. Agreed! He's scored 11 goals, but still he inhibits our game since the offensive distribution responsibility falls on our defensive midfielder. Without Barton, we suck. Judging from position played, it's Nolan who should take charge, but he doesn't. The question that needs to be asked is: Could we have scored more goals without Nolan than with him. It's likely that a more movable and creative offensive midfielder could have created more goals for our other players than Nolan's 11. We have not the best attacking line. But tbf, the service they're getting is utter rubbish. Loven is all about runs behind the defense line, however he's not received one good through pass the whole season! I think you'll find Lovenkrands problems are far greater than the quality of service he's received this season. EDIT: the rest of your post is another dollop of cliched codswallop, once again served up in a unique PUnk77 format. Loven has been rubbish, I agree. But his play is suffering tremendously since we have no midfielder that's able to hit a through pass! The only exception is Carroll's third goal against Sunderland. Now we're forced playing with Nolan due to our injury situation. But his limitations on the pitch should be acknowledged. Yes he's our top scorer, but his play "steals" goals from other players. It's almost like Bent: He bags plenty, but the way he conducts himself on the pitch, makes it harder for other players than him to score goals. Last season, that resulted in Sunderland being highly dependent on Bent, since his movements and style of play precluded others from getting into good scoring positions. The same goes from Nolan. His inability to distribute the ball, makes it harder for everybody else since the attackers are not getting through balls and the ball is not distributed to the wide men where the opponent defense is not organized. It's only Barton crossing from right to left. Consequently Barton and Simpson are always playing against an established defense. a) Wrong. Even with all of our players fit (Ben Arfa excluded) Nolan is still in the starting XI. b) Wrong. Nolan gets himself into goal-scoring positions, that is how teams survive in this league, by having someone with the ability to get into the space between defenders and converting those chances into goals. Owen had a couple of months where he displayed these qualities, when he didn't, there was no-one else in the team ready to step up and score. c) Utter tosh. Please watch a Newcastle game before using this "inability to distribute the ball", he was one of the players yesterday, when we got around the Stoke box, who was looking to try and find a cute pass for either of the strikers. The lack of movement from Lovenkrands and Shola (not as culpable) didn't help things. When he didn't have the ball, he was trying to make space for someone else to play him in (see the movement for his cut back in the first half which Stoke deflected over the bar for a corner). He can't do both things all of the time. Similarly, he's neither Xavi or Torres at either job, but good enough for the level we're currently at. d) What the hell does this even mean? Wait im going to get some
  7. Been a complete waste of time tbh and my feeling is maybe it was leverage for a summer transfer rather than to help us out this season.
  8. How exactly is it s*** loan signing ,do you think Pardew told him to have a relapse in his fitness fight so to not play this season ,as Stevemc says he might not play for us this season but hell atleast we got him in rather than no one at all. Maybe we should of signed a player who was fit at the time as it always helps. Oh stop it
  9. How exactly is it shit loan signing ,do you think Pardew told him to have a relapse in his fitness fight so to not play this season ,as Stevemc says he might not play for us this season but hell atleast we got him in rather than no one at all.
  10. If it wasnt for the fact we are in the dog shit he would be getting the left wing slot for the rest of the season imho but Pardew would rather have experience there cos its experience that pulls you out the shit oh wait where are we now :-[
  11. biggs

    Players in public

Wow he is a pro footballer too as well as a Billionaire sugar daddy
  12. That seems to be our problem atm no goals at one end and leaking at the other ,Harper cannot remain no1 next season but until or when we are hopefully safe from relegation he will remain in the team cos of his experience rather than quality and this might be our undoing ,thread should be called Pub goalie imho as he was pathetic yesterday .
  13. Fuck do i know why its managers being spineless i guess fearing relegation and playing experienced players who are shit and leave you in a relegation battle
  14. No i guess 3-0 is ok at this stage of the season and no one breathing down our necks below us is acceptable
  15. Taxi for Harper i have finally decided we need new blood in that position he is embarassing now
  16. Just started watching the second half cos ive been busy outside all day but one question who is masquerading as a Goalie for us
  17. I keep thinking that myself but I'm only 31, I should be loving the game but it either pisses me of or bores me to tears. I honestly don't like it these days. I don't even like NUFC or what it has become these days. I can't stand our manager for example because I just know he's a c*** and played some part in Hughton leaving. The players? I'd love to feel some love for say Enrique but I just know he'll be off soon when a better deal comes up for him. I don't even like a huge section of my fellow fans. There isn't a lot to like. I like when we score a goal and when we win. In those moments I feel real love for the club and game and think f*** yeah that's what its about. Then we dismiss our manager, or lose our Geordie number 9, or a set of mongs parade outside SJP for Sky or we dismiss the league cup as a nothing trophy and so on and so on. Outside of that I watch Man City spend over 20m on James f***ing Milner. I could go on. The worst thing though is it has made me a miserable b****** of a footy fan, a bitter twisted numpty who wishes someone from my own City nothing but abject failure at his new club. Liverpoool. Home of the f***ing scousers. Cretins with blood on their hands. Unfunny scruffy c***s. God I hate them. Why I don't know. Oh that's why. Football makes me hate them. I'll tell you what though. Whenever I see this http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/nechronical/apr2009/9/3/nufc-crest-899762131.gif my heart beats with bloody great big pride. There's f*** all wrong with that badge. I would wear that with pride anywhere. I wouldn't put a player's name on the back of a shirt though. Back to Dalglish. I should hate him. He took an entertaining team full of stars just a bit of tinkering away from winning trophies to finishing in mid-table with Ian f***ing Rush on our bench and John Barnes on the flank playing for 0-0 draws in an FA Cup final at Wembley and that's not to mention how he has been welcomed back into the game and back to his former club, a place where you should never go, go back to your old club because you're doomed to fail you know, by all and sundry as the best thing ever yet wor Kevin Keegan gets no welcome and metaphorically spat on and all the other crap.... Its not fair is it? Anyway... I don't hate Dalglish because he's a decent bloke, a proper footballing bloke who if you read about Hillsbrough and how he conducted himself, stands up against any claims he's a c*** or whatever. Not to mention he has nowt but good things to say about NUFC, the city, us as fans and that. I hate Liverpool and am propelled to want them to screw up massively but do you know what, I hope he does well. For me, the game needs it. I hoped KK's return would give the game the 'thing' it needs, you know some fairytale magic stuff, but alas, this is NUFC.... Fair weather fan and a dogs not just for Xmas etc
  18. Getting back to the thread in question and I think it's the only time I want sunderland to win a match this season tbh.
