I never understand this view point unless you are his wife. Him not buggering off saved us time and money trying to find an adequate replacement. If he had left us 10 years ago imho he would have been Englands no1 keeper playing regular first team football and i dont doubt his talent but now he is finished at this level ,taking a punt on the other 2 is a risk but we have to start trusting the talent we have or we will lose them waiting for the Slough to pack in .

Imho he sat on his fat arse for many years picking up a comfortable wage under no pressure waiting for the odd game when Given was injured or rested. When he played we all saw a good keeper but he had fuck all ambition to be any better than a bench warmer so if you stick up for him i will argue there is a keeper we should get shot at the end of the season from the first team squad .

Imho he is too fresh to be a international manager and should have learnt his trade and then went for it if he was good enough,i think the Welsh F.A wanted a change from the old guard and a new approach with a young manager with new ideas and i truly hope it works for him .Making Aaron Ramsey captain could backfire if the kid cannot cope with the pressure and its hard enough playing International football without having that as a burden .

Yeah but they will tell you otherwise and blame everyone but themselves.I know its a very emotive subject for Liverpool fans and i have the utmost sympathy for anyone touched by Hillsborough etc but they were involved non the less in Heysel too and yes they have been in Europe for many years running and chances are will have more likelyhood to get in trouble rather than say Everton who qualify on a rare occasion for example.It has already been pointed out that standing areas will never happen in the Premiership but what i say is why not have a Trial period with one or two clubs and surely everyone will be happy and it will show that the fans will be listened two for a change but it needs all clubs fanbases to be organised and vote to show they really want standing areas .I wonder how much notice Manure fans are taking interest as they make such a hoo ha and stand at away games .

Pretty much the only people who'd be against it would be the few oddballs who wanted him out long before then. Then along comes the smiler and we lose carroll, make a stupid bid for nzogbia, sign a bust stephen ireland on loan from a club that didn't really want him in the first place and have only won 1 game in the last 9 (which is a record that saw hughton sacked btw) and we looked positively shambolic on saturday and will no doubt be made to look like relegation fodder again when wolves come to give us a hiding but pardew looks after his players and could help ireland rediscover his form Dont forget bringing Gosling and Enrique back too early aswell.
