Oh it looks like KK-day From Times Online October 2, 2009 Kevin Keegan verdict due George Caulkin * Recommend? The result of Kevin Keegan's long-running case against Newcastle United is expected today with the Premier League arbitration panel which has been gathering evidence about his controversial departure from St James' Park last year set to issue its verdict. Keegan, who is adamant that he was effectively forced from his role as manager after players were allegedly signed without his agreement, has been pressing for compensation of £8m to cover the three years which remained on his contract. In response, Newcastle have argued that he broke his terms of employment by walking out. Suggestions that a sizeable award being made to Keegan could push Newcastle, who were relegated at the end of last season, into administration have been dismissed by City sources, but even the suggestion has caused a delay in the prospective sale of the club, a process which has been both painstaking and delicate. Attempts by Barry Moat and his consortium to complete a takeover of Newcastle remain ongoing, but the Tyneside businessman has been awaiting the panel's decision before proceeding further.

Great article that Tooj but i wish KK hadnt come back until an owner with integrity, honesty, commitment and a heart was in charge instead of this piece of shit we have now who has imho tarnished Keegans reputation with us the fans who have always loved him .

If Ashley wanted the club to operate in the manner you describe he should not have appointed Keegan, nor anyone else (Redknapp for example) who believes bringing in better players in return for transfer fees is essential for a club to make progress. The mistake was his and his alone. By the way, you don't know the truth, all you have is your own bias which is based on very limited information. For accuracy you should really leave such comment out of your posts otherwise they become in danger of turning into you know what. Your first paragraph is pretty much correct appointing KK was madness really in those circumstances and it would never work how KK operates and i think we all knew it would end in tears,as for the second paragraph come on man Macca is entitled to his opinion and we all are and we will probably not find out the full truth after this court settlement anyway but we all have our thoughts on this scenario be it right or wrong.

If Shearer becomes manager in the not so distant future Krul will be well hacked off with Harper being a big mate of Shearer or does he not realise this ,plenty time for the kid to learn and hope he makes it for us and we dont have to sell our best players in future .

Just looks like he is ready to go on the lash in a gay bar tbh wanker

Random observation but to me Liverpool have not moved on to the next level to push for the title and that goes for Manure too to stay at the top and maybe this year we will see a more open title challenge by maybe 5 teams switching positions each week that can only be a more interesting to watch then normal ,not the end of the transfer window so lots can change but in my eyes a couple of injurys to key players and not quality replacements and Liverpool are fucked
-
see you later in this thread tbh we cannot stay away :-[

Couldnt agree more it is the best we can hope for and hope it comes off and this nightmare will end

Yes but at the same time if he has other backers what is the problem with proving to the banks that they have the right credentials and thats not a dig like Roger Kint jumped on ,i dont pretend to be a financial whizz kid but if this had been a Malasian consortium being asked the same questions do you honestly think this would have been pointed out earlier or is it rose tinted glasses cos Moat is a geordie .Dont get me wrong i would love Moat take control and install Shearer as manager so we can rebuild and emerge like a phoenix from the ashes .

Er, probably isn't going to them begging for money. But can you explain the previous mutterings from Seymour pierce about about proving you had the funds etc Well seeing as how half the first team squad has disappeared since he started did you stop to think how he could afford all the new signings he would need which he wouldnt have accounted for? You have the wrong end of the stick dear boy how has selling players got anything to do with buying the club ,selling the players would make the club a better proposition to buy with the high earners off an money from transfers paying off the overdraft and outgoings in wages dropping which has got nothing to do with proving you had the finances to buy the club ,so how can Seymour Pierce recommend Moat if thats the case. The other end of the stick is that Moat has barely got the cash to buy the club, let alone buy the players needed to replace the ones who've gone and give us a cat in hell's chance of promotion - and the potential for promotion is the only thing which makes Newcastle a viable proposition. Source? Probably an assumption and a fair one at that tbh he doesnt sound like he is rolling in it .

Haha brilliant yet you claim i had a dig at you? You throw your toys at me then play the victim. Yeah ok why dont we both grow up and get back on topic eh? I offered a reasonable possibility as to what was being discussed, i dont care whether you agree or not. Its called a discussion board, if you arent capable of accepting a different opinion you really shouldnt use them. Its only the internet FFS whatever but it was a reasonable question firstly about what had been stated by Seymour Pierce proving you had the funding and backing to run the club .
