I was at the village of the damned yesterday with my mate who is a derby county fan and i was surprised to see giles barnes on the bench ,derby were crap in the first half playing hopeful long balls up front and did not look like a team top of there division and the mackems had what i can only say was a extremely dubious penalty in there favour .In the second half barnes came on and i can honestly say he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and scored a goal which peter beardsley or henry ,gazza etc would have been proud of ,apart from that he had great skill and a good engine and if i was glen roeder i would make a concerted effort to sign him .has anyone else seen him and what are your thoughts .

I think it brilliant what you are doing but imho your name may draw attention from the wrong elements and the police but you have my and other supporters fool backing to bring the atmsphere back in the lesser attractive games when fans do not lift the noise level .

imho roeder is being stupid mentioning transfer targets as always happens we will probably end up with none of them and he will be left red faced and we will say bloody hell another balls up in the transfer market. He might get crocked again very, very soon, but 21 out of 24 league games since joining 'Boro is impressive. the way we are with players its odds on we would have finished the lads career .it makes you wonder why two seasons running we have had a horrible injury list and some teams go relatively injury free all season .

well after 30 years with a season ticket i jacked in at start of 06/07 season and i will go back when we look as though we are going in the right direction again both on and off the pitch with roeder at the helm who knows but the transfer target mess we end up in every window makes me doubt this. imho the souness legacy lives on to haunt us and will take a while to recover from and a new managment structure at the top ie shepherd may change my mind and eventually renew.

unless you were on the pitch or with in hearing distance you do not know like the rest of us ,yes he is innocent till proven guilty but he is being accused by players who know the truth and they know what will happen if he is proven guilty so it is very serious for him and why would those players lie about a fellow professional.
