  1. I'm pretty confident Keegan knows exactly what he's doing and he knows how strong a case he has. He had the LMA onside from day one of this fiasco. The LMA will back a manager if asked to. They don't know the other sides story either.
  2. If he thinks he's been shit on, then he's every right to seek compensation. Probably get settled out of court, but if it doesn't then at least we should get to hear what each side is saying occurred before it all went tits up.
  3. Probably because last time, as this, it isn't believed to be a racial chant by most (it isn't), and also it isn't believed by most to be construed as being offensive (it could). Therefore it. or a variation of last years chant, got a quick airing. Both side of this argument have valid points, but while it wasn't big or clever to shout what was shouted, it also wasn't said out of our crowds rampant islamaphobia either. Yeah that is where being an adult & showing a bit common sense kicks in because after it blew up last year, just maybe people should of figured it out that maybe the majority could be wrong in some small way or lack a bit of understanding so play it safe & dont chant it & stick to calling s**** or a fat b******. I agree completely, it wasn't clever, but neither does it merit the reaction it got from those who should know better (anti-racist organisations, not posters on here!).

  5. You deserve derision here though, why shouldn't we expect our team to do ok in the league? This club pays out the 5th highest wages, why on earth should we accept s*** for that kind of outlay? mainly because the team is top 10 at very best and the club is a shambles? and has been for many a year? we're fighting relegation yet again this year and "big" clubs dont do that as often as we do. a "big" club imo = 1/3 big fanbase, 1/3 off field success (ie. regular financial gains, stability, a general feeling of moving forward each season etc) and 1/3 on field success. we have 1 of those things. There is no way anyone can disagree with this - it is a FACT. NUFC WAS a so-called 'Big' club, but it isn't any more and will not be until it starts finishing in the top 6 with regularity. Jordan is a pain(as is his female namesake, and just as pumped up..!)but some of his observations are correct ; where he is wrong is that he fails to mention the mismanagement which has virtually destroyed the team over the past 5 years - this is the reason why fans are angry, not just because they are 'fickle'.. Refusing to face the facts does NOT help ; if you can't(or WON'T)see what is wrong, you can't correct the problems. To be fair Merlin, I don't think anyone is disputing the general theme of what is a 'big' club and what such a club should be achieving. Its just a response to yet another, predictable load of half-truths, generalisations and ignorance of the facts. Oh, and he's a twat!!
  6. My hips fucked, so i'll do the Terry Mac role if nobody else wants it - stroll around with a trackie on and put a few cones oot every now and again, that sort of thing.
  7. Tbf although Martins scoring record isn't bad for us if I had to leave on one striker who can play s**** all game but still take that one chance it would be Owen. Pairing Owen with Viduka makes more sense than pairing Martins and Viduka. If it was a choice of Martin or Owen up front alone, then it would be Martins. what are you talking about? martins has bad control, good movement, good pace. viduka has great control, poor pace. both are good strikers of the ball. they make much more sense than owen and viduka imo. You missed out that Martins has poor positional sense. Of the two i'd trust Owen to be in the right place for Viduka to find than I would Martins.
  8. Probably 40/60, FA (I think) don't like ground changes unless its for safety reasons or due a police order. If they go for cash they can ask to use SJP, but if they want their best chance of causing an upset make them come to Croft Park.
  9. I would. Aye, no problem.........had a lot worse tbh.
  10. Unsporting conduct these days innit? Is it? I'm sure I've seen it recently where the referee told the opposing player to move away from the line with the threat of a yellow card. Aye, that rings a bell, a season or two ago I think. No idea who it was though.
  11. why do they keep asking him? Probably because he's already getting Rob Lee to do the groundwork in interviews for him taking over, so he obviously fancies it. I presume he turned down this offer as either he only wants to be no.1 or doesn't want to come in under this owner (or both)

  13. Good point, attack is supposed to be the best form of defence but it also comes down to who the team is we're playing though. If we go one up against Stoke i'd expect us to keep at them and go for it, go one up against Chelsea/Man Utd then i'd want us not to be so cavalier.
  14. They were supposed to have a meeting in a tent, it was well publicised and commented on. The fake Sheik?
  15. Offshore

    Mark Viduka

Good clever player who can keep hold of the ball. 4-3-3 (no idea to put in midfield though) at home, 4-4-2 away with Viduka + 1 if we can't put a half decent midfield 3 out.
  16. Could try making the Zog wear a neck brace to keep his head up.
  17. Hows that like? Its my own opinion but I think he has treat Newcastle with contempt during his time here. Fair enough, although off the top of me heed I can only think of this contract business that could be classed as him being held in contempt by some.
  18. As if I'm letting those dirty bastards into the town I live in! Too late, there's already a fair few of them in already.
  19. No, same goes for an Ashley staying. Sell up, new owners bring in a new manager, we move on.
  20. Actually I thought Beye was Downings bitch today nearly all their attacks came down that side. Most of Downing's crosses didn't come from the byline, though. There's not much you can do to defend early balls into the box. I don't think Beye was particularly good, but he was solid enough when called upon. He's still yet to hit the heights of last season. He hasn't been getting forward enough, neither full-backs have though. I think this might be a specific instruction from Kinnear. Enrique's passing has been woeful this season mind. You can understand that away from home but if they're still going to be reserved at St. James' (which they have been at times) then it's a real pisser. Neither are bad going forwards at all (especially when compared to previous fullbacks we've had), but like you say for some reason don't get the chance or don't seem to want it, one of the two. Enrique in particular showed some real pace at times in the second half and really charged onwards, but he plays so negatively the rest of the time it absolutely kills me. So many times you want BOTH fullbacks to just start moving when they get the ball, instead of taking a touch and then stepping-back into a long ball. For Enrique in particular it seems like habit. Habits can be broken though and the coaches need to get it out of his system. Fullbacks are of immense importance these days and we're in the position where we actually have a couple of decent-good ones for the first time in a good while, we need to start making the most of them. I rarely disagree with anything you post Rich, but I honestly think Enrique is one of the worst full backs I've seen play for us in terms of getting forward. One of the reasons we've had ropey defences in the past is the fact we've gone for fullbacks that are better suited to going forward than actually defending. IIRC Enrique did ok last season overlapping etc, so can only presume its team orders to make defending the priority.
