I rate Emre too, especially the Emre that i believe Big Sam will bring out. However, he may have to force his way into our midfield with some of our performances. I'd even be tempted to stick him on the left of a 442 in home games.

Agree, we'd be hardy as f*** and would have terrific balance in the middle of the field to boot. With Smith, Emre and Zobby if need be to add to that. Definatley looking strong in that department with plenty of variation. If we are to go for another DM i'd like it to be someone young and unknown who doesn't mind being a squad player.

TBF we looked quite good with a front three. Normally i wince at the idea but it seemed quite fluid and with Geremi and Butt protecting the back four it was solid too.
