Great news. More power to Eddie Howe is fantastic. Gutted for the lads who just wanted cheap forrins though.

I want the shittest sides and easiest fixtures please. We can beat the big boys in the knockout rounds.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
STM replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
Someone might want to have a word with Callum if he thinks he's going to be anyway near the world cup squad like. He will be lucky if he's at a PL side next season. My guess is that he ends up at: Everton, Burnley, Leeds, West Ham... if he's very lucky someone like Forest might see him as a cheap option from the bench for a season. -
Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)

Makes totally sense to me that we've basically put a contract on the table that we think he's worth. He's been given the Dummett/Richie deal. Be part of the wider group and be a leader in the background, with the odd cameo. Some love getting their knickers in a twist over nowt. This has absolutely nothing to do with potential incomings. -
Since I've paid no attention and can't be arsed reading you cunts posts, can someone sum up how the draw works?
-
I think the issue isn't about whether the term bottling it is correct but more why someone would use that term about a manager and group of players who've given us so much. I'm not saying you can't say whatever you like, but it's just an odd direction to go in. I actually don't think the players bottled it, I think Eddie went the wrong direction with his line up and it allowed Everton to gain confidence. When you allow the opposition any sort of confidence, it's very difficult to claw the game back.

They are losing Martinez this summer apparently, so that's a major blow IMO.

I think there's a few players we had our hat in the ring for but probably weren't convinced they would happen, Huijsen, Cunha, Delap etc. I'm fully expecting movement soon for us, given Howes comments. At the very least, I'd like to find out who our top targets are. I'd be shocked if we aren't looking abroad, at least partially, given Mitchell's involvement.
-
I think he'd be class for them to be honest. The good thing about Delap is that he offers the donkey work as a prerequisite and then also has the potential for lots of goals.
-
I understand the money side etc but who the fuck is advising these lads from a footballing perspective? Signing for Chelsea is like agreeing to shag a robot.
-
I've no great hatred of Villa but it's absolutely excellent for us that we not only got CL but potentially stuck a dagger into their progress (if it's true they have to sell etc). I wonder if we might nick a player off them before the PSR deadline.
-
I actually agree. I think if there's a PSR advantage to selling one of Gordon/Barnes, I think we might do it but only if we have a clear idea of who we'd like to recruit as a replacement.
-
I also think he's one of the few players that I think we should over pay for. He basically covers RW and CF, when Isak needs a rest, in one player. If we were to get him early, we could be quite flexible for the rest of the window.
-
That's the best press conference he's ever given. He's so honest, it's incredibly refreshing. Also really bullish about the transfer situation. Good times lie ahead.
-
I'm saying it first. We reach the Quarter finals minimum.
-
Don't spend the night dissecting the game. Go and have a beer.
-
Who gives a fuck. What a season.
-
He's ready for next season mind.
-
This could have been 6-6 today mind.
-
We deserve CL.
-
@Froggy I fucking love you dude.
-
Barnes is fucked. Get Osula on.
-
Don't know whether to watch that game.
-
Slipping away from us now. Massive mistake having Burn at left back. Get Trippier on.
-
We've created a new problem with Burn at left back.
