  1. Out of nowhere, Spurs win this 1-2.
  2. He'd be worth every penny of what we put in for Maddison. He's a good player and has amazing potential as a goalscoring AM.
  3. Perfect time to get a bid in too. If they best Spurs and convince themselves that squad players are expendable.
  4. Smoozing the ownership before we get Danny Boy to do the bizzo with a bid. Amanda and Mehrdad are hands on anyway.

    7th-ometer

Just an update 2 games in: Newcastle: 4 points after 2 games, an average of 2 PPG above the target of 1.5 PPG. Of course this will reduce after we play city. Other potential rivals after 2 games: Brighton: 4 points Villa: 3 points Leicester: 1 point Wolves: 1 point Man Utd: 0 points Palace: 0 points Play on Monday against Liverpool West Ham: 0 points Other sides not included because I either don't believe they are strong enough or are the "top 5" teams.
  6. The biggest problem Man Utd have is that they are unwilling to accept that any rebuild takes time. They keep trying to switch the computer on and off, in the hope that it will start working again, instead of actually getting a new one. The first thing the need to do is get rid of their rotten core of players. Get 3 or 4 young players into the side and inject some energy.
  7. Replacing ASM with any 2 of those I have mentioned and we have a stronger squad. We'd also replace his output on the field.
  8. My ratings: Pope 9 Got us a point in the end Trippier 5 Below par, struggled with Japanese sub in second half Schar 7 Solid Botman 8 Was really impressed, great full debut Burn 8 Defensive leader, offered nothing in attack though Willock 5 Had one of his off days Bruno 6 Gave the ball away a few times but also won it a few times Joelinton 7 Battled hard, couldn't drive us like normal Miggy 7 Tireless as usual, no end product as usual ASM 5 Didn't contribute in either end. Got caught diving Wilson 7 Tried everything but was isolated in the second half
  9. Goal coming for Forest.
  10. Forest doing that "your shit ahhhh" chant, fuck off back to the champo. Small time bastards. Brighton did it yesterday too.
  11. I have to be honest. He does my head in more than any other player. He goes from unplayable to unwatchable at times. Sadly, he's our second most threatening player in terms of goals and assists. So unless we get more in, he can't leave. If the scenario comes about where we can sell him and use that money to add quality in an attacking area, then I'd do it. Let's hypothetically say we got 40m for him and that gave us the license to go and get 2 of Maddison, Ramos, Gallagher, Gordon etc, then we should absolutely do it.
  12. It's gone way past the point where Forest are just being ambitious in the transfer market. The money they are spending is bonkers. If they don't stay up they are in big trouble. If they do stay up, they won't be spending any money next year. They are absolutely going down the route of throwing money at players.

    Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier is the last player in our side I worry about. He's a mentality monster and an absolute baller. He will get us alot of output this season especially in games where we dominate the ball.
  14. I don't even look at it as a bad thing playing these lot: 1. Let's get our atmosphere loud and proud live on sky next Sunday. Hope Wor Flags have something special planned. 2. Let's test ourselves against the best in the world. 3. Let's keep Botman in the side, give him more PL minutes. 4. If we perform well, even if we get beat, we can come out of this game in a positive place. 5. 3rd game of the season, we can get this lot out of the way.
  15. Move out wide in the second half and was a menace.
  16. OK, that's fine. You have clarified that it's bad by Howes standards. I don't think you said that in your original post. In Howes standard it was a bad day. It was a pretty decent day by NUFCs recent standards.
  17. A bad day to what standard though? If this was a "bad day", we are in a great place. A "bad day" last season was getting done 4-0".
  18. If you are in here saying "played bad", "bad performance", you want to go and look at our performances from a year ago. It says everything about Eddie Howe and the new Newcastle, that during our "bad performance" we were fairly level on possession, kept a clean sheet and came away from a point. Plenty to work on but all in all a fairly decent day at the office. Also Botman played and was virtually flawless. What a future he has.
  19. Pope Schar Botman Burn Trippier Targett Bruno Miggy Joelinton ASM Wilson 1-0
  20. I think poor performance is a bit harsh. Sub par, yes. In the first half we matched them, in the second we faded. In terms of confidence, we couldn't have faced Brighton at a worse time, after beating Man Utd. Taking that into account, going there and getting a respectable shut out us a great result. Need a tactical miracle against City next week.
  21. We've had more of the ball than them. Some poor decision making aside, we've been ok. I can only see an improvement in the second half.
  22. Notes: Bruno can't be worse, which should worry Brighton. We've gone long a little too often to me. Botman Looks nice. Burn can't help ASM going forward, perhaps Manquillo on? Elliot Anderson is my pick to make a difference from the bench
