  1. I've been saying for a while that we have been playing an elbow formation and any attacking LB would be a risk to our structure. On the other hand. If Trippier is missing, it would be nice to have 1 fullback capable of advanced play.
  2. Does anyone watch this clickbait nonsense?
  3. I agree entirely with TCD. 3 first teamers is about right. Then 3 younger types.
  4. I think we will sell ASM. Not based on anything other than a hunch. We'd get 30m. We got 17 back for Wood. I'd reckon we'd get 12/14 for Lascelles, he's our captain and a PL player (albeit a limited one). Murphy is a regular for a side in 3rd. He's not a great player and we won't sell him but we'd get more than 10m for him, easy. Someone like Burnley would snap our arms off for Murphy. There's 55m of potential sales in 3 players. I'm not saying we will or we should... just that we could.
  5. Spot on. Said the same the other day. We've also got a couple of saleable assets for a change.
  6. Personally think Rice is doable. If our owners think they can sign Rice, they will do it. Wages and transfer fee won't be an issue. He's a proper marquee player. He's the next england captain FFS. We would do it.
  7. Does Mings still regularly start for them? If so, our press is going to cause them major bother. Also, you know how we often complain about home lunchtime kick offs because of a lack of atmosphere.... this should play into our hands on Saturday.
  8. He's a full Belgium international too right? I think he'd be a safe bet but do the club want a safe bet or a future superstar? Go and get Palhinha.
  9. Liverpool have history for turning up for the big games like Arsenal at the weekend. They won't be getting top 4.
  10. Yeah it's always annoying seeing a bit part player celebrating the team success. He's done fuck all.
  11. I don't want to make it about Newcastle but I've noticed alot of sides struggle with our fitness in the second half of games. I think that's what's happening here. Bayern are dead on their feet, where as City still have loads in the tank. City are now just picking them off.
  12. For me Bayern have been the better side but if I was just going off the commentary I'd assume it was Citys game.

    Rafa Benítez

In my book, anyone going out of their way to criticise Rafa, wants their heads checked. I can just about accept that he's not everyone's cup of tea. He's very pragmatic, political and his charisma isn't something people will generally warm too but that's as far as it goes. He was a superb tactician. On the other hand, anyone remotely suggesting Bruce and Rafa were comparable or even defending Bruce is the slightest, wants to get in the fucking bin. Bruce was a fat fraud, who's made his way in management due to one reason, his mates in the ex footballer community. If you didn't know any better, you'd think the disingenuous lard arse used to hold legendary house parties for his team mates when he was Man United captain, thus exonerating him from any criticisms. The two are polar opposites. Rafa was a fountain of footballing knowledge, Bruce a bufoon. Rafa cared deeply for the clubs and communities he was involved with, Bruce cared for himself. Rafa fought against the regime, Bruce worked with it. Rafa developed players, Bruce destroyed them. Rafa is more a geordie than that cunt will ever be.
  14. We aren't ripping up the blueprint with 8 games to go. I've seen Zero indication from Howe that he sees Isak as a wide man. We continue on as normal. It's what has got us where we are.
  15. Tielemens would be class, especially in those home games when we have plenty of the ball. We could move Bruno forward and it would give us two "door openers" in midfield. In those trickier away games, he could be rotated out for someone more physical. Home: Tielemans Bruno Willock Away: Bruno Longstaff Joelinton Loads of options. I suspect he's got a big contract lined up somewhere though. Probably Arsenal.
  16. On this theme. Does the same count for Rashford?
  17. If we get a draw at Villa we've done well. If we win, there is zero stopping us.
  18. Makes perfect sense. Versatile forward. He'd thrive in our set up.
  19. I hope we are like a vulture feeding off their carcass in the summer. Maddison, Tielemans or Barnes please.
