  1. Would sort out our leaky defensive.
  2. I love the absolute conviction that Fonesca would be a better appointment than Martinez, despite very little evidence to suggest so. Is it because Fonseca or Favre haven't been in this league therefore represent a hope that they will be mint? There's equal chance of either of those being absolute flops. I include myself in being someone preferring Favre/Fonseca FWIW.

    Kieron Dyer

Doubt he's a heavy drinker. Pure sod can't catch a break when it comes to illness and injury.
  5. How much would it cost you to get every fan in the ground with a flag before kick off? @Heron That would be some sight.
  6. My favourites are always the mini flags where there's thousands of fans flapping them. It reminds me of when we got free scarves under Freddy Shepherds time, was quite spectacular.
  7. There must be a local media whatsapp group or something because they all get their information at the same time. When a manager does come to the forefront, one journo will break it, like Hope and then all the rest will get the same information. Once a candidate is clearly getting the job and everything is agreed, we will hear from Staveley via one of the local journalists.

Watford, Villa and Southampton are ropey as fuck. Have you seen Watfords next few fixtures?

    Leeds aren't going down anyway.
  10. The dream is in its embryonic stage, getting relegated wouldn't be the end of the world, annoying of course, but not a disaster. Any relegation wouldn't be the fault of our new ownership either, just another damning indictment of MA. Without an injection of new ideas and more importantly, the correct ideas, nothing was going to change in the short term. The rot set in long ago. Whether it's pre or post Brighton, a new manager will come in and it's the "who" which will determine whether we go down, not the "when".
  11. So to be clear, it's been less than 2 weeks since Bruce was sacked and the club have reportedly been casting their net wide, interviewing various candidates for both the managers job and the DOF role, whilst trying to find a common goal between interviewees to give us a sustainable long term vision? Judging by some of the bed wetting, because we got pumped off Chelsea, I'm guessing there's not a vast experience of headhunting and high level recruitment on this forum? "Why didn't they just hire Fonseca on day one man!" Erm, because they aren't cowboys with itchy trigger fingers perhaps?

There's some severe bedwetting going on. We have new owners. It will take some serious time.

Yes, that's the way multi million pound investments work.

Of course it does. When push comes to shove, some can't stomach a relegation and a fight to get promoted again, despite the claim that they would have taken that if we had rid of Ashley.

"I would take a relegation to see the back of ashley." "Actually, now that it's happening, I'm not that keen."
  16. Perhaps Jones is trying to create a different mindset in the squad, where players are rewarded for their attitude and conviction, rather than by reputation. I don't like his choices either, on the face of it, but a new manager might get the benefit of the players getting a kick up the arse on the training ground. If the likes of Schar have been moping around like Shelvey, fuck em. If Willock isn't putting in the yards, fuck em. Jones has nowt to lose by shaming some of the egos.
  17. He's also referred to how the players are training. To me, he's suggesting that a few aren't pulling their weight. Could do with Fraser finally putting in a good performance.
  18. Was clear he would be loyal to the players from last week.
  19. Darlow Manquillo Schar Lascelles Fernandes Lewis Willock Hayden Almiron Wilson ASM Is what I'd be looking at but GJ won't drop anyone, so it will be as you were.
  20. We don't have Belgiums golden generation though. Martinez might not have the nouce to take a group of stars and get them to win the world cup but many greats have tried that and failed, Fabio Capello anyone? That's not we would be asking him to do. We want him to sort out our rabble, get them into the top half next season and then aim towards the stars after that. I've no doubt he's not the man to win the league for us, or even get us into Europe perhaps but he might put the foundations in for the next bloke. He wouldn't be my choice either FWIW.
