If its Martinez, I will back him. Hopefully he would get us up the league and then we can see where we are before moving on to phase 2 of the project. Fwiw, I suspect Martinez is a fantastic coach, I just think he can be naive tactically/defensively. I still haven't forgiven him for Haidara mind.

There's been like 8 favourites with the bookies. They are all playing guessing games. I'd love us to pull something clever out the hat.

Pride of Tyneside. -
I'm no historian but I think the biggest factor of our collapse was to do with tiredness. Keegans side played at 100mph, it caught up with them eventually.
-
Individual players don't lose title races, teams do. What I'd give for that selection of strikers now.
-
Reckon the PL is just paying lip service to people like Levy. When it comes to the crunch, how are we going to be punished for breaking any rules? Fined.
-
Does Cedric Soares play regular for Arsenal? Could do with an experienced full back on a short term deal.
-
I want a new man in as much as the next person but I want a really top manager more than anything. Also, it's vital we get a DOF who has the same vision as the incoming manager. I think that is why we are waiting.

@Heron Any new flags this weekend? -
So, in theory, would you have Fonseca now or say Rafa/Ten Hag next week?
-
You do realise that a if we were to secure a better manager, we would get better results right? A shite manager with an extra two weeks under his belt isn't a good thing, it just sets us back further. It's a fallacy to suggest that managers can't make a quick impact anyway.
-
I suspect our new market value has skyrocketed anyway. Any smart sponsor would be interested in a new brand, which is certain to go places. So what if Aramco can't sponsor us, you reckon we can't do a multi million deal with someone like Chevrolet, like Man Utd did. All we have to do for the next 4/5 seasons is close the gap. Which takes alot less money than a real title challenge would. They are really desperate if they think it will even dent our marketing opportunities. Say we build a new training ground, absolutely nowt to stop us getting a big sponsor like Arsenal did for the Emirates stadium (albeit on a smaller scale). There are endless opportunities for growth, without even tapping into Saudi Links.

Fuck knas who it is, but I'm excited to find out.
-
Odds are just a reflection of media reports × likelihood. Very rarely is a change manager odds because of an inside tip off. Not that you would ever know.
-
Fuck knows what's going on.
-
I meant an outside manager. Willing to do 6 months. Unlikely though.
-
Part of me would prefer an interim, so that we can wait for the right man. I can guarantee that as soon as we hire a manager that Rafa, Pochettino etc become available. Timing is everything.
-
The other part of it is, if Everton don't have someone better to replace him, they won't entertain it.
-
It's not even results on the pitch. It's the unrest from the fans. If we can offer a big compensation and they decide its a quick "get out", we might able to get him. Rafa won't betray them unless they give him the green light first though. Such a frustrating situation. They don't want him, we do want him but their board are in the way.
-
Even though I think Rafa is incredibly unlikely. There is a difference between him breaking a contract and him being made available by the club.
-
It would make perfect sense for the consortium to want a DOF in as urgently as they want a manager. They could have huge problems if they decided to get a manager and then a DOF who had a different vision. There needs to be some synergy in what they are doing.
