It's better when you barely know the refs name. Or the days when there were respectable refs around like Ellis, Gallagher, Dallas or Collina.

Regardless of whether he's making the correct decisions or not, it's clear Dean's reputation has now put him in an untenable position. Fans of all clubs must look and see Dean's refereeing before the match and shudder, which begs the question, does it affect the players? Do defenders start tackling less because they are worried he will send them off. Do players start diving more? It's time he was kicked into the championship.

Longstaff's rise has somewhat overshadowed Haydens performances. He's been absolutely fantastic and it will be a shame if he leaves. He's doubled his value.

I think Shelvey career is all but over at Newcastle. He might get a couple of cameo's until the end of the season but he will be sold in the summer.

What else could Rafa have done. Start Shelvey, perhaps but apart from that...

Dummett in a 3 surely (his best position IMO). Rafa is unlikely to go back to a 4. At least he can change formation during the game if he wishes.

Can see Dummett stepping into either a centre back role in a 3 or taking Richies wing back place. Is be surprised if Clark got in before Dummett.

With Rafa, there's a much better chance of us fluking (wrong word perhaps), a top 6 finish or doing something a bit special. At worst, we will stay in the league.
