Hes always been a nightmare when weve played them. Pacey, direct, good finisher, good work rate etc. Its not that hes going to be happy on the bench but more comfortable taking his chance in a CL side, where hes guaranteed to play a big role in our season.

Im not going to lie, id have loved Ekitike but we had a bid 69m turned down for him, if we end up with Wissa+ a CB for the same money I'll be more than satisfied. It presumably will leave some space for GK or perhaps a CM before the window is out. If we get this done, a CB has to be next and sharpish.

Also the no re sale value thing is bollocks, we got 18m for 31 year old Chris Wood. There's absolutely a world where we sell him in 2 years time for a similar fee (if that's what we wanted to do). I think its a great signing because its an absolute tap in. Gordon/Barnes Isak/Wissa Elanga/Murphy Is good depth, for a change. With loads of flexibility too. I'd have no worries about Barnes, Wissa and Murphy lining up a game.
