Brentford could be outsiders for relegation if they lose Mbuemo and Wissa.

You've just called your wife needy, so not that kind.

Genuinely thought it would be today. How naive of me.

It's real but that bellend didnt take the picture.

Kulu can play through the middle and a false 9. Im game. All the swedes. Honestly though Spurs will definitely thinking about shifting players, is there anyone we'd have?

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Yeah which kind of speaks to my point. There are very few hidden gems. Even when we went after Ekitike the first time, PSG were in his ear. -

One point you made a few weeks ago, which i entirely agree with, is being flexible and not being afraid of signing a Jorginho typed stop gap. I'd suggested Norgaard and im gutted Arsenal snapped him up. Short term signings like that can actually save us money for a time and allow us to invest in the long term. I dont think Howe likes having players who come and go regularly though and I understand it. -

Just yesterday we were linked with Geovanni Leoni who is 18 and could cost less than 30m, for example. -

We were also linked with Guler not so long ago. In fairness to TCD, what hes asking is can't we find young exciting talent in the 20/30m bracket before their value doubles but its incredibly difficult and there's nothing to say we wouldn't move on a player like that if we could. -

Quite a specific set of requirements you have. 1. We haven't signed anyone in 2 years because of PSR. 2. Who we are linked to in the press is not necessarily reflective of reality. 3. In our last real window we signed Tino and Hall. 4. We've signed Minteh, Kuol, this Spanish kid and some Asian lad is on his way. 5. We've been linked with numerous players who are young. I think what you are saying is, why aren't we going after cheap young foreign players with big potential? And there's loads of good reasons. They dont grow on trees. They are highly in demand. They aren't always cheap. With young players there is more risk attached. With foreign players there is more risk attached. ... And we might have a set requirements, for example we might specifically want players who are good to go in the PL and that dont need so much development. -
It's got nothing to do with loyalty. Eddie doesn't see Longstaff as part of his long term plans, hes hinted as much in his pressers. It's about weighing up losing a useful (and I use that term as lightly as I can) player vs only getting a small amount of money in return. There's a scenario where we sell Longstaff, sign a ST, CB and GK but dont quite have the flexibility to add another CM to the group. In a year where we have 60 games to contend with, that might be a risk. Imagine September 1st Tonali does his cruciate? We have Miley to step in but then noone on the bench until the January window. Perhaps the club want to make sure they want to sell Longstaff at a price where they can adequately replace him (via PSR bullshit of course).

You would be happy with one less midfielder?

Have we? -
"So Anthony, you've said how impressive SJP is but how impressive do you think SJP is?" "Of course next year you will be playing in the Champions league, how excited are you playing in the Champions League in front on these fans".
-
If we sign a Pedro styled number 10 hybrid, yes. I think Howe is more than happy going to a 442 or 343.
-
I think there is absolutely a possibility that Longstaff goes and we dont sign a replacement.
-
He said we'd looked at him yes. Doesn't mean we have any intention of signing a midfielder. Ive seen barely anything suggesting we will. Time will tell..
-
It's funny because I can absolutely see us being interested in Ekitike, I just dont see how we finances it, unless someone like Gordon was sold.
-
There's been no noises from the club about wanting a midfielder. Im not saying they don't, but its very much suggested that a CM is at least 4th on the list behind ST, CB and GK. Its naive to think we will sell Longstaff and then just automatically add a CM to the list, regardless if people want them to. IMO, they are much more likely to gamble on the 5 they have or perhaps sign a ST who can play number 10, at least until January. It's a long stretch to expect another 3 quality signings after Elanga, let alone a 4th.
-
I suspect there are more parties at the table than Leeds. There absolutely should be at that price. He'd be a good addition for a few clubs. We wouldn't reject a bid unless we felt we could get the correct fee for him. Leeds were publicly doing the whole "willing to move on" nonsense too, which wont have gone down well with our lot.
-
People said all the same shit about Elanga and we shaved 8m off the initial fee. If Burnley want 40 we will likely make the some compromise involving add ons. If hes a good as they think, it will be easy to achieve.
-
So accurate.

I'd be tempted by Strand-Larsen before Wissa or Watkins. Wonder how much he'd cost? Edit: Just seen he was on loan last year, so hes no bueno.
