  1. If he was a puppy the vet would have put him down ages ago. Such a shame because he can be a massive player for us.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

The next transfer window has the ability to make or break our season, our last transfer window almost broke it, this window needs to fix it. I know people like to get into the ins and outs about what position and who but ultimately I think the fans (and team) need a lift. For whatever reason our club seems to crave a star signing or two to keep the flame alight. If we can pull an exciting attacking player out of the bag in January, I think we will go on a run at some point.
  3. The forum is losing more and more of its more balanced members, who are fed up with the relentless drivel coming from certain people. We've even had a couple delete their accounts. It's a shame because the admins do a really good job but they can't choose who comes in.
  4. That sounds like a good idea in theory but I've made several posts highlighting the ridiculousness of several posters who have continually blamed Howe for everything from injuries to transfer policy, the same people were doing the same thing the season we finished 4th. These cowards start their posts with "I'm supportive of Howe but..." and then carry on with all the reasons they aren't supportive. It's the easiest thing in the world to be the most negative cunt in the room. It would be like me spending the last 4 days talking about the subs I didn't agree with on Saturday, and what? What would be the point? He's still the best manager since SBR and I've yet to hear one viable alternative. There's people who talk like (I'm convinced believe) they know more about this game than Eddie Howe. They don't. I suppose that's fine because it's a football forum and we are hear to chat, right? What would be the point otherwise? Well I guess there is a way of doing it that doesn't sound so mental.
  5. His dip in form (along with a couple of others) is a lesson to me about having doubts about players. Next time he goes through a tricky spell I know that the answer is to play through it. Get Isak on a new deal and that can secure our future, then we can concentrate on adding to the squad.
  6. Champion, a new manager now and we are sorted.
  7. At home I'd love to see: Isak Barnes Gordon Joelinton Bruno Tonali
  8. We need more of you. That said Howe's subs were shambolic.

    Sandro Tonali

Taking him off was a shocking decision.... He'd moved more central too and was playing really well. Then Bruno went off and I was even more perplexed. Perhaps it's because they'd played for their countries? Still wouldn't have taken them off. Isak would have been first off.
  10. Not spent about a billion quid though have we.... And on and on and on. Mindless.
  11. Half? Your opinion on Howe barely represents 10% of what actual fans think.
  12. Mate, don't do it to yourself. Get down the pub and have a bit crack with some newcastle fans. Don't waste your time in here, certainly on this topic.
  13. Now, now, no excuses allowed. Losing a game of football, regardless of circumstances = sacking.
  14. Sack Arteta. The only solution.
  15. Tonali has done fine. Not his fault that there is a chronic lack of pace in defence and Isak isn't playing well at all.

    Sean Longstaff

He was a big part of a side that finished 4th and 7th in the PL respectively. I'd agree with you if you say that we need better but saying he's championship standard is pure bullshit. He'd be a solid player for any lower tier PL side.
  17. Personally I think Froggy attending a Newcastle game is a slap in the face to real fans who could have been their to shout and moan at our players. Anyone who facilitated that wants a slap in the face.

    Sandro Tonali

I know right? I don't why them idiots keep saying it.

    Sandro Tonali

Doesn't make any sense because in the last couple of match threads I've heard that he's been anonymous.

    England

It's quite simple really, the only question that needs answering is whether he's prepared to drop big names. You can't play Bellingham, Palmer and Foden in the same side. Drop 1 or 2 of them. It won't happen because the idiots in the media won't let it. And don't get me started on Kane. Play someone who is prepared to run.

    sunderland

I find it rather strange how confident they are of getting promotion. The season is in its infancy. I'd say they are likely for a play off spot but they've got some real big hitters behind them, with better squads. Also, it would absolutely be like Sunderland to completely bottle it.
  22. There's a small snag in that our squad is nowhere near a league winning side + we still don't have the resource to do it (yet). Pep hasn't managed in Italy yet.
  23. In the last 7 games of last season we scored 20 goals, won 4, drew 1, lost 2, and one of those losses was away at Old Trafford. I agree that we haven't reached the heights of that PSG game but also that's a very high standard to hold them to every week. Just look at someone like Arsenal or Man City, they don't win all their games at the standard we know they are capable. Arsenal let a two goal lead slip against Leicester before winning, for example and Man City had to come from behind the other day. Since that PSG win, we've also had some incredible results which would have been comparable to our very best under 12 years of MA: Chelsea 4-1 Spurs 4-0 sunderland 3-0 Arsenal 1-0 Man United in the cup 0-3? And a fair few other decent ones 4-1 at Brentford for example, 5-1 against Sheffield United at home. The point is, it's not all doom and gloom.
