In that case he might even be able to cover on the left wing in an emergency.

Carroll does the first bit right, by winning the headers but often fails to do anything with it. -
It seems clear to me that there is something about him the current regime simply don't like, which is a shame because he doesn't seem any worse than a couple of our strikers.

In that case he will probably start at left back with Taylor coming in. I worry with Taylor at right back though. -
You are correct, it should have been.
-
Wrong IMO. Moses would be nice but Hughton will end up getting a loanee if he can't sign him. That might not put us any better off but we won't be worse off. I also think Lovenkrands improvement in form has made a huge difference in our thinking.
-
You said we didn't have a striker. You said nothing about quality. IMO Hughton is holding out for someone of abit better calibre (i.e a Moses or Beckford), if not he will sign someone like Vaughan on loan after the window. Apart from this, it has been a pretty good window.

Ameobi, Ranger, Lovenkrands and Carroll could all be considered strikers but i'm sure you will ignore that. lol I said could.

Ryan Taylor? Yes, Taylor is a massive liability. Where as i think Kadar's a good defender. EDIT: Although, if Taylor is ok, i think Hughton might plump for him in place of the new lad. -

Harper Kadar Williamson Coloccini Van Aanholt Smith Guthrie Routledge Jonas Nolan Carroll Is something like the line up i expect. I'd prefer Ranger and Lovenkrands to start up front but i expect Hughton to have a tight starting 11. -
I wouldn't be so sure.
-
"Hopefully of doing business over the next couple of days, very keen." Is what Hughton said earlier.
-
Even though i have my doubts over whether i think this will go through, i must say the Hughton interview did look encouraging. He's kept fairly low key so far but seemed fairly confident in his interview, it might have been because he knew about the other two coming in today though.
-
I'm hoping that we are already ahead of the game in this transfer race, i.e i hope we've won the players heart. Baring in mind that SSN said that we are his "preffered choice", however things change rapidly.
-
It's more important to our promotion hopes that he doesn't join Forest or WBA TBH.
-
What did he say? Giving them the old "i'm saving them by buying their player". As if he's doing them a favour.
-
So who do they sell to pay them next month? Surely something has to give. They can't keep going from one situation to another.
-
Portsmouth have to sell Kaboul in order to pay players. This is farcical.
-
He's going to watford until 2012, that's why we wouldn't take him. Don't blame Hughton turning that down for a temp.
-
By my reckoning, if no premiership clubs come in for him, we will get him. However, if they do... Hopefully Hughton has sounded out other deals aswell, such as Vaughan etc.
-
The chances are he won't sign for us.

? The guy is only human. He maybe the Chairman of a football club but there's only so much abuse a man can take. If he's hearing lie after lie after lie about himself, players, managers etc. and is being made to look like a total cunt then I think he has every right to defend himself Aye but he could have worded his statement much better. He's turned it into an arguement with the fans, as apposed to a rallying call. If he's said "I understand the critisism but let me explain", he would make friends, not alienate himself.
-
Marvelous, although my heart nearly fell out of my arse when i saw "Newcastle complete signing of..." on SSN.

Same here mate, i live in the sticks so i rarely see footballers in public. BTW Batty goes to Scarborough every summer, he stays in a caravan.
