Remember the Beye and Faye signings? Nobody knew that they had been done until the early hours (after the window). However, admittedly the media had picked up on them. -

Come one mate, there is so much going on at the moment, not every transfer will have been picked up on. There is still plenty more to happen IMO. "Craigy" said that we were working on "lots of targets", so i'd still expect something extra to happen. -

(Breaking News) "Newcastle in talks with manchester city over micheal johnson"- Setanta sports news sources. Everything has indicated that this deal could happen, apart from that guy on SSN who said that they don't want to sell. Time will tell. -

Personally, i think Johnson would be a cracking signing. -
Did anyone read the bottom line, that wasn't read out by "craigy"? It said "Just joking they are on the house". Bloody sky sports making us look bad

I'm dreaming of a Tino Asprillla "in the snow" signing, like the old days. Probably just end up with that Fox lad and maybe a loan player. -
Neither the club nor the player want Insomnia here, therefore it will go through.

The fact we failed in a bid for Hyypia suggests that a) we are still in for other players b) kinnear wants a centre back (along with his quotes) -
Noticed he was in the box trying to get onto the end of the ball, rather than actually picking up possession himself. I'm not sure whether that is a good thing or not, perhaps it would be ok with Guthrie in behind but it's the behaviour of an 451 midfielder IMO. However, i have no doubt he will pop with a goal and work his arse off for the cause.

Well that was alot of nothing.

This.

Veloso to wigan? Na..... I think it will be Manchester City or us or Mancherster City

That would be brilliant but i think Ashley will be looking for money tbh. I reckon we will get 1 loan player and that will be it. -
nolan? Well if we have raised money for Nolan by selling NZogbia, where is this 10m kitty gone? Either way we should not have to sell to buy.
-
Good player that has/had plenty of potential. N'zogbia, Given and Owen leaving the club does say something about the ambition and current state of the club. However, the way in which he has gone about leaving the club (including before the ashley regime) has been disgraceful to say the least. At least Owen and Given have kept their mouths fairly shut. In terms of the deal, if Milner is worth 12m then Zoggy's fee should match it IMO. However, i will take into account the fact that we bum raped Villa for Milner so 6m is about right. Getting a solid player coming in the opposite direction is a big bonus for us. The million dollar question is will we re-invest with the money recouped?..... i doubt it.
-
It looks to be that we have dropped our interest in the foreign lads in order for premiership experiance. Personally, i think this is a good move, since we are in a relegation battle. However, which way would you have preferred us to go? Ignoring the fact that we are meant to getting Taylor in on the cheap?
-
Who are Nolan's friends on the back room staff? EDIT:Danny Guthrie, Robbie Elliot and Barton
-
I remember when Bolton were on the verge of relegation a couple of years ago and Nolan was asked if they got relegated would he leave in order to stay in the premiership and Nolan said that he would stay with the club as long as they wanted him, regardless of what league they were in. That's the sort of attitude we are missing. Nolan is an incredibly loyal player and i'm convinced the guy will be a fan favourite.
-
Get him signed in time for the mackems.
-
Pretty much confirms that this is in response to the Barton injury. I don't know whether that's a good thing or not. Or at least some sort of realisation in the last couple of days. It's a start.
