Would be a DECENT signing. From what i remember of his Blackburn days he started off quite poorly but towards the end of his time there his performances had improved. He's an experianced guy and as much as i hate to use this phrase... he's better than Butt. Anymore than about 4m and he's not worth it.

I like Coloccini, Typical foreign centre half with a "hands on approach" however he has great feet and good understanding of the game. As for Bassong, he's a good young lad but we need someone of a bigger stature, with more experiance playing alongside Coloccini. Bassong should be serving his apprenticeship in our squad, learning the trade and having a bit part. We made the mistake of thinking Taylor is better than he is and he hasn't improved in the way we had hoped, let's not do the same thing with Seba. I'm not saying he should be dropped but he should not be in our starting 11 come the start of next season.

Not worried about losing Given but i am worried about what it represents. The guys uprooting after so many years at the club. That's Given, Owen, how many other senior players will we lose?

As i suggested yesterday, if we are looking for potentially brilliant players at low prices then i'd sign Derbyshire. If we have the money there are alot of other good targets.

Fully expect him to leave TBH, unless we get into Europe or have a very big takeover.
