  1. What a load of s****! So Charles wouldn't be the subject to interest from Tottenham if Sam, Roeder, Souness or Robson were in charge? Get a grip ffs. You have misunderstood my post . The point I was trying to make is the lack of signings in this window are down to Keegan not knowing the market. By his own admission he has been reclusive and has neither watched or followed football for 3 years. By the way have you seen what a right load of rubbish his soocer circus is /was.? It was certainly aptly named. Zog has been the subject of interest for a number of teams including Arsenal. So don't put words in my mouth and if you want to criticize that's OK with me but do not assume that everyone's opinion other than yours is s***
  2. I think we are seeing the effect of Keegan having been in the wilderness for the past 3 years while he played at losing a fortune at his soccer circus. He obviously hasn't the proverbial clue of who is or who isn't currently a good player and is nervous to spend.
  3. I have been told that Harper consistently performs better than Given in training. Given is living on his reputation now, I don't know why he has gone so out of form as some of his decisions re coming or staying on the line have been dire recently
  4. He has recognised this, and tried to strengthen the squad with bids for Woodgate, Alvaro and Barnes. Getting worried...the above players are not exactly very good players either. Even if the above players come in, doubt it will improve the squad by very much. Two of these are defnders and one is midfield. Does Keegan know where our porblems lie ie can't score goals. I hope you're not implying that it's upfront that's the real problem. We can't score goals because the strikers aren't getting anything. I agree that we need one/two quality midfielders but Smith,Amoebi and Owen are not cutting it. Yes you can say that Owen is not getting service but he has had chances that earlier he would have put away. So yes I think our problem lies in our inability to score . In fact we are hardly even getting a shot in on the opposition goal at the moment.

  6. If this is true then Keegan is an even bigger ar*e than I thought he is. If he can't see that this pathetic squad does not need strengtheneing then I am seriously worried. We have a p*ss poor midfield and strikers who couldn't score in a brothel
  7. Hope Hutton goes to Spurs. Over-rated and not worth that fee. In fairness he is good going forward but hopeless defender. Where have we heard that before ?
  8. Best news this week. We need creativity in the midfield not another crock permanently in our injury room.
  9. Exactly the way not to utilise Viduka's strengths, as we've already demonstrated this season. How would you use Viduka's strengths ? I was not suggesting the long ball a la Allardyce by the way but ways to get the ball to our smaller strikers ie with a creative midfielder and cross balls
  10. It is the midfield where we are woeful. We desperately need a creative mid fielder who can open a defence with a pass for Owen/Martins to get on to. We need also pace as has been mentioned already and Viduka to stay fit for a run of games to feed the other strikers from either crosses or high balls into the front. I agree we need confidence again and a good signing might do the trick. It is going to be a sweaty end to another non-season for us.
  11. I have had concerns regarding this for some time. I also wish I didn't but I do have serious worries over KK appointment. I so hope to be wrong but I don't think his second/third coming is going to have a happy ending. Going to put my tin hat on now.
  12. "If football was meant to be played in the sky then God would have put grass up there" a quote from the late ,great Brian Clough. How true !
  13. ....after 21 games....with 9 new players including a whole new back 4 and a new formation, are you surprised he isnt? Look at Man City. I agree. We should be better than we are. last year Man City finished below us and just above the relegation teams. You can argue Sam has had bad luck, you can argue that new players need time to settle but how can anyone defend his stubborness in wrong team selections and players out of position.
  14. Gilberto Wes Brown Dean Ashton
  15. Dunedin

    Obafemi Martins

Frankly who would buy him. No ball control and has gone backwards from last season. Get him out the door and get some cash back?
  16. Just back from the match. (Live in Edinburgh.) I thought Milner was very poor and Duff should have been on at least 20 minutes before he was. Why were we constantly throwing long balls forward against a really cr*p side like Derby. ?
  17. It is about not getting to sign players in Jan. Hibs have sold to the tune of £8.8m in past 18 months and spent £360K on bringing players in. Enough to p*ss any manager off.
  18. Does anyone know whether our injury problems have improved under Sam ? It seems to me we have a hell of a lot of injuries again this season. Have the much trumpeted methodologies of Sam made any difference ?
  19. He'll be gone by the end of December and we will have a fight on our handsup to end April. By the way I don't think we'll go down but yet another wasted season. When you lose the dressing room it's inevitable.
  20. I agree that the owners want evidence that BS can actually buy the right players. However what worries me is the way he is wasting the talent at his disposal now. Also, if he sells Taylor and Nzogbia I will be seriously pissed off. These better be rumours only. I need convincing that the dressing room is still on side as I remain extremely worried at the state of things at the moment. The only really thing clear to me at the moment is that there is something desperately wrong with the whole club. Whether this can be put right over the next 5 or 6 games remains the question.
  21. If Sam has lost the dressing room, and this will become more and more apparent if it is true, then there is only one thing to do. Sam has to go as the continuation of such a situation is disaster. If he still has the respect of the players then he needs to superimpose himself on them and at least show effort and fight in the next few games. I hope he is going through a steep learning curve but I am very worried and the one thing that has really depressed me is the signings he has made which do not look good enough without exception. I am anxious over him wasting any more money in January.
  22. I was pleased when Sam was appointed but feared how the team would play. My fears have been well founded. My biggest concern after returning from today's game is " Has Sam lost the dressing room ? " I saw no fight whatsoever today apart from Butt and Given. If he has lost the dressing room then the sooner he goes the better unfortunately. I sympathise with those on the forum saying please stop the constant changing but my confidemce has been badly shaken with the last two home games.
  23. I have been saying we should have signed him for 18 months. I can't be fagged to find all the threads I have posted this in. He is a quality midfielder with a considerable skill, strong tackler and a great engine. In fact everything our current midfield is missing. We could have got him 18 months ago for about 1 to 1.5 million. Celtic did their usual smash and grab act on the young Hibs squad this summer. Unfortunately I think he will end up with one of the big four and not us.
