Barry has been the best midfielder on the pitch in the last 2 games. No way can he be dropped after these performances. Gerrard's been average though. Yea i think Gerrard has been pretty average today, A few long shots but thats about it.

Anyone else think Barry has been superb? Lampard shouldnt walk back into the team when fit but knowing in McClaren he will.

Did SA actually say that? I thought he said Smith wasnt Dyers replacement and after we bought Smith and still had Dyer SA said if Dyer is sold he will look for a replacement. I dont understand the shit Smith is getting on here TBH. This aint aimed at you Baggio but the general tone of a few people, Smith may not be the most gifted player but that doesnt make him a shit player. So far i wouldnt say he's been shit or that he's been outstanding. I thought he had a good game against Bolton but average games for the rest. I'd agree Smiths best position is up front and ideally i'd prefer him to be rotated with the other strikers and not used in the midfield unless we have too. How come Smith is getting a lot of shit yet Viduka aint? I havent been impressed with Viduka but that doesnt mean im gonna write him off.

Well thats it really, They are trying hard to convice the themselves that they are happy with LSL and that SA was holding them back but in reality it was SA who made them the team they are today. Always struck me as though it was a case of "sink or swim" with him and edgar, he sank and edgar swam. Anyway good luck to him I fail to see how you can say Edgar swam, He he's only played about 2 games. The jury is still out on Edgar imo aleast untill he plays about 10-15 games for us.

I dont think SBR can get the credit tbh. I sure i read somewhere that a scout saw him and was impressed and so he was bought. Sometimes i think managers like Wenger get a lot of praise for finding players like Fabregas etc etc when in truth its the scouts that find the talent and the managers then developes the player.
