  1. Sentanta Sports is free if you have Virgin XL
  2. Ask him to get Curtis and Campbell
  3. Friendlies mean fuck all tbh, Bolton didnt win 1 of there friendlies last season but went on to have a great start of the season. For me all im hoping is that we dont pick up any injuries and most players have a good run out i couldnt care less if we win or lose.
  4. Fuck sake i bought a few bottles of Magners to drink while listening to the match and there's no radio coverage!!!
  5. Yea they have i checked aswell, Takes the fucking piss
  6. Yea i read that Luque wasnt reading but i liked the way SA explained the situation. I think Luque will be ready for the Juv game.
  7. I do think Curtis is a good prospect but i think we need a more experienced defender also a defender who will help some of the young defenders likes Taylor progress, I wouldnt mind us getting getting Curtis as long as we got some like Campbell in as well.
  8. Shearer to Newcastle - £15m scoring over 200 goals aint even on there, Yet they have Chopra to Cardiff
  9. what a load of shit, They got like likes of Berb to Spurs on there when he's only been there for 1 season and he was only good for the last half of the season.
  10. Riise, Lahm, Heinze, Baines, Shorey, Barzalgi, Ferdinand or Mertesacker. First two being mentioned on skunkers. what has been mentioned on Skunkers?
  11. End of the world tbf... but seriously I think people are wondering if this is a sign of things to come I mean he has missed virtually all of the 2 seasons he's been here and getting injured again (no matter how minor) doesn't look good. Yea i agree, Not only that but his pre-season will be disturbed now. I wanted all our players to be fully fit and ready for the new season. Its very important that we can keep Oba because Owen will always have these little injuries
  12. Article Chronicle Sport News BREAKING NEWS: Owen out for friendly Jul 20 2007 By Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle Newcastle United striker Michael Owen was today ruled out of tomorrow’s trip to Carlisle. Owen was hurt in a shooting exercise in training and retired with a thigh injury. The former Real Madrid player is now expected back for the upcoming friendly with Juventus. http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/chroniclesport/tm_headline=breaking-news-owen-out-for-friendly%26method=full%26objectid=19486855%26siteid=50081-name_page.html
  13. How does this effect Newcastle as a club? I dont mean bad press etc etc but could this get very nasty and we end up getting relegated or is it simply a case of getting the people involved and nothing happens to the club.
  14. I know. I cant stop laughing, I cant believe what people are staying.
  15. Yea your right, If Gallas came knocking i'd tell him to fuck off because he's French
  16. Looks like another one to go, Only Shepherd left now Aldo Duscher, who achieved global awareness of the word "metatarsal" when he broke a bone in David Beckham's foot before the 2002 World Cup, started a trial at Newcastle United yesterday. Now 28 and a free agent after reaching the end of his contract at Deportivo La Coruña, the Argentinian defensive midfielder conforms to the pattern of Bosman signings Sam Allardyce made at Bolton Wanderers. As Duscher arrives, a key figure at Newcastle for the past few years looks set to depart. It is believed that Kenneth Shepherd, son of the chairman, Freddy, and involved with transfers, has been told by Mike Ashley's new regime that he no longer has a role. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2125354,00.html What do people think about this? Are they happy to see him go? What was his official job anyway?
  17. Haven't seen him play in ages so I can't say I remember. He's not a player I ever really noticed, but I don't watch nearly as much Spanish football as I used to. I'm going more off what the Depor fans are saying, which is that he was once a good player whose career has gone off the rails a bit because he let all the praise get to his head. He was always in the shadow of the excellent Mauro Silva, he was essentially a backup player who didn't complain and so many wish him well at his next club. But he didn't exactly move mountains there. He seems like a typical Big Sam signing, someone who clearly can play a bit but has lost his way and his stock has fallen significantly. Sam's obviously hoping that a change of scenery and perhaps regular football might bring the best out of him. Yea i agree with this, Ive watched Spanish football for a few years and he was good about 2-3 seasons ago but last season he got a few injuries and it was clear he wanted out of Deportivo. If SA can get the best out of him then we'll have a good player for free.
