in the end it will be where the player wants to go.....not what the clubs agree between themselves. Nothing about this here in Jormany tbh. Also some dubious logic by his agent stating it just needs an official bid from Newcastle for the deal being finalised within hours but then saying that his client prefers Dortmund. Also didnt Dortmund officially pull out of the deal or something? Seems to me like the agent is just trying to hurry the deal up
  6. After they've tied up the deals for Jaaskelainen and Butt Dont forget RVN
  7. David Beckham (2 May 1975-) Beckham is an English winger who came up from the Manchester United youth program. He eventually made his debut with the senior team and remained with them for more than half a decade. Beckham's biggest success with Man U was winning the Champions League in 1998. David Beckham earned most of his fame due to his physical appearance rather than his on-pitch performance. His haircuts received more attention than his scoring record. Got to laugh at that
  8. If Owen doesnt feel like he's owes us anything that fair enough but the least he should do is tell Alladyce what he intends on doing.
  9. Im surprised no-one has mentioned Duscher, He's about 26/27 and good DCM and available on a bosman. He has said a few times that he'd like to come to the premiership and i doubt he'd demand high wages. Butt had a good season but he getting on a bit now and Duscher would be a good player to succeed him.
  10. I heard him being linked to Villa about 3 weeks ago, it went quiet and its comeback again. From what I've seen of him at HSV, he just looks incredible. One of the best defensive midfield prospects I've seen since Hargreaves. I wish he could joing us, but with Butt playing so well and the Barton signing I can't see it happening. I was think more of using him as a RB, if we are looking for a up and coming DMF we should look at that Fernandes lad. Or Duscher is available on a free, I think he'd be a good addition to the squad and imo he'd jump at the chance to come to the premiership

    Wes Brown

Nah i dont really rate Brown as a RB, He's wasted there. We need a proper RB
  12. OK, that's his chance to improve over and done with, then. First season's over - that's it, he's not gradually improving. He surpassed my expectations to be honest. Top scorer in his first season in English football, in OUR Newcastle side. Brilliant imo Totally agree, Sometimes i just dont understand what a player has to do to get credit on this forum. Martins is 22 he scored 17 goals, He was playing in a shit side and tbf its the 1st time he has had this much responsibility on his shoulders so given the facts i think he's done well.
  13. TBH i rate Wes Brown i'd be happy to see him come here, Certainly a step up from the likes of Bramble and Moore. Where did u see we are linked with Wes Brown?
  14. f*** he has some hide asking for that. Hes moving on because he belted the s*** out of his teammate. Another tosser on our books! Great > Why just because he's asking for whats rightfully his?
  15. Hold up on ManCity side, Paper work is delaying the transfer.
  16. Bamble,Moore and Gooch all need replacing and SA has stated he wants 2 players for every position, Atm all we have is Taylor.
  17. Zolton Gera is available and wouldnt cost to much, His time in the premiership he did pretty well.
  18. Ive only ever watched him for Wales and tbh he aint that creative. We can get better than him
  19. I wonder where the f*** them 2 will end up, I really do. No-one in the right mind will sign them. Maybe Bramble will recommend them to Hutchings "er yeah i really enjoyed playing with Babayaro" Good idea. Babas and Carr + £4m for Baines.
  20. Nor me I bet other fans are getting sick and tired of the breaking news.
  21. Allardyce says he wants to bring Ben-Haim to St James Park after already luring the Wanderers head of Sports Science Mark Taylor a couple of weeks ago. http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/main/s474/st117049.htm Twice today i have read that Mark Taylor is at Newcastle already. Good news if true
  22. SAM Allardyce has confirmed that he is competing with Wanderers in the battle for Tal Ben Haim's signature. Ever since Allardyce's appointment as Newcastle manager three weeks ago there has been strong speculation that the former Bolton boss will try to tempt the Israeli defender to follow him to Tyneside. Now he has publicly stated his interest. "I'm interested in any player of quality who wants to move on, so yes I'm interested in Tal Ben Haim," Allardyce said. advertisement "He's a free a free agent and hopefully available. He has three or four years of experience in the Premiership and I know him inside out. We had a good working relationship, we grew in the Premiership together and I'm very interested in working with him again." Wanderers now know for sure that they are facing an uphill battle to keep the 25-year-old Ben Haim at the Reebok after his current contract expires at the end of this month. Whites' chairman, Phil Gartside, has made a last-ditch bid to persuade him to stay, knowing it would cost upwards of £5m to find a defender of his calibre on the transfer market. But Allardyce's confirmation that he wants Ben Haim to become part of his St James' Park revolution suggests it is highly unlikely that he will get the positive response he is hoping for. The former Bolton boss, who has already raided the Reebok for head of sports science and medicine, Mark Taylor, and is also keen to take his former performance director, Mike Forde, to Newcastle, is in the middle of a whirlwind week on transfer activity. He has already signed Joey Barton from Manchester City in a £5.5m transfer on a five-year contract believed to be worth £70,000 a week, and has an "agreement in principle" to sign Middlesbrough's out-of-contract Australian striker Mark Viduka. He also sanctioned the £7m sale of midfielder Scott Parker to West Ham - a deal which was completed yesterday, when the former Magpies' skipper signed a five-year contract with the Hammers. Wanderers, meanwhile, are reportedly competing with Premiership rivals, Reading and Portsmouth for the signature of Toulouse winger Fode Mansare. Reports in France claim the 25-year-old Guinea international wants to move to the Premiership after learning that Toulouse are lining up a move for Auxerre's Ivory Coast international, Kanga Akale. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/wanderers/wanderersnews/display.var.1453947.0.allardyce_confirms_ben_haim_interest.php The bit in bold is interesting
