I know people get annoyed when you talk about the fixture list and “you play everyone twice anyway” but this has been a particularly awful set of games. Can’t build any momentum and puts more pressure on the so called easier games. Yes, we should be looking to beat Leeds away and Wolves at home but otherwise we have played last season’s 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th, which is pretty hard luck. We’ve lost three of them in the 84th minute or later, we aren’t a million miles away

Lads, who gives a shit?

A further 2 weeks out. No smoke without fire on the original rumours. Think it will keep getting pushed further back

This. I think part of why Howe went so strong against Bradford was to show there isn’t necessarily a first and second 11. Every game matters and there’s 20 odd players capable of playing in any of them
-
He’s an absolute unit, don’t know if he’s just naturally filling out or whether they are actively trying to bulk him up but he’s going to be a real asset if he learns to use it like today. He doesn’t have much of a football brain so there’s probably a limit to what he can achieve unless that improves but he’s a great third choice
-
How much “home advantage” do you think is lost playing in someone else’s stadium (albeit as a home fixture)?
-
It’s going to be 3/5 at the back against isn’t it
-
Comes off the defenders leg onto his arm which I can understand when he’s standing up but wtf is his arm doing up there

End of the Barca game?
-
Murphy for Hall and swap over with Tino
-
I have a weird sense of dread about this game. Hopefully we do another number on them
-
Ramsdale 7 - Did what he needed to, no chance with the goal Botman 8 - Just class, what I like about him is even when he clears with a header he tries to direct it to a team mate Thiaw 7 - Good, untroubled Krafth 6 - Bit rusty Hall 7 - Neat and tidy Miley 8 - Always wants the ball. Interesting that he played the Tonali role tonight Bruno 9 - Like a Dad playing with his kids Joelinton 9 - As above Gordon 7 - Got kicked a lot, glad to have him back Elanga 6 - Short of confidence, has no conviction in his final ball/shot Osula 8 - Took his goals well, generally a lunatic. Won’t rate the subs but Woltemade has some superb touches, it is vital we have players around him. Barnes also needs a goal but he put one on a plate for Osula so fair play. Tino is on another level, I think he’s probably in the bracket with Tonali and Bruno as our best players. Nout to say about Trippier and A Murphy. Still seems odd to me we played Bruno and Joelinton for 90 mins tonight but not at all in a league game but I guess that’s sport science and the world we (probably rightly) operate in

Been nursing an achilles according to Howe
-
I really don’t mind that he’s trying something different against these. Yes the personnel could be different but we chased around one of the best teams in the world less than 72 hours ago. Bunce’s influence I assume
-
Willock will be on the left of a three surely?
-
Look out Bradford
-
Probably a bit simplistic but Murphy is better for Wolte and Elanga will be better for Wissa
-
There’s every chance Tyler Adams will break Willock into a million pieces
-
Have been told the same.
-
Hopefully Big Nick is the difference compared to all our other performances against them in recent memory.
-
It was live on TV pre-9pm (plus plenty of kids there who have doubtless heard it all before like)
-
Raphinha is left out because he was late for training. Lewa hasn’t started many this season so far
-
Ref was literally guessing most decisions, absolutely hopeless. Mad first 10 minutes then settled down. Teams seem to be actively targeting Trippier but it could just be a height thing. Wolves recruitment policy seems to be based on physical attributes only and John Arias. Thought we were generally pretty good, typical type of win for a team needing a result but lacking a bit of confidence.
-
He literally didn’t say that, just there was a rumour and he can’t deny or confirm it as he’s not hearing back from Wissa’s camp and Eddie is being cagey
-
Elanga and Gordon against Barca’s highline is clearly the plan. Chance to be fucking carnage. Anyway, this first. No real surprise Eddie has picked mostly players who he’s been working with for the last fortnight, sure he has often done that (a few notable exceptions aside)
