Interesting. From whose mouth did you hear that? Joe Kinnears? no just old enough to remember Wimbledon , our own Warren Barton was typical example of how Wimbledon use to work in those days.

When Kinnear was at Wimbledon they brought in players very cheap lots of free transfers then sold them on for a profit. This is what Ashley wants, just on a bigger scale than Wimbledon did it. So appoint Kinnear to make sure this policy is carried out.

I hate this outlook, no having a go at you by the way, i can see why people have it after all that has gone on before. But i see it like this now, were a big club, great ground, good players (imo), fantastic fans, great scout. Managers imo would want to manage us, and see us as a challenge to take on. Chelsea's owner is a complete c***, yet top class managers still work for him. for all the good points about the club you have pointed out. I doubt a new manager would be allowed to bring his own back room team in. I think the manger seems to have little control on transfers. Which means he would have little chance of bringing proven premiership players into the club. That's the reason I think no decent manager would want the job. I hope I am wrong.

I would think most people within the game would think Pardew has done a reasonable job here. Sacking thats the easy part getting somebody who is better will be a lot harder than people think. If you cannot get someone who is a lot better than Pardew what is the point of sacking him.
