That's because we were relegated from the Premiership, so the expectation was instant promotion. Clark took over a team that was in League One. Anyway, I don't know enough about them so I'm not going to say more, I just wanted to say that Sewelly could have made his point in a much nicer and less abrasive way.

You don't need to be a dick about it, man. You yourself make plenty of comments about teams in loads of different countries and I'm pretty sure you don't catch all those teams play every week. Sometimes people outside the club have a better opinion on things because they can be more objective. For example, anyone outside our club now would say that we're having a fantastic season and that Pardew's doing a magnificent job. But you look at some of the posts in here and it's like we're hanging around in 10th, playing some pathetic football and looking like Stoke. We're all fans so we're all emotional about it, which is why not everything that's said here should be taken seriously. But when someone on the outside speaks then they may be able to see the situation clearer. I don't have enough information about Clark and Huddersfield but 43 games unbeaten is a fantastic achievement, no matter what spin anyone may put on it. They could easily regress without Clark and everyone will then lament the fact that he was fired, in the same way now that the idiots who booed us at home to Wolves in SBR's last full season must regret doing so. Sometimes people watching every single week don't have much more of a clue than the average person. Sometimes people watching every week lose sight of the big picture precisely because they're watching every week. Just sayin'.

We're out. No surprise there.

I wouldn't be surprised if HBA is annoyed at Pardew for criticizing him in public again and again. There's just no reason for Pardew to do it. Be a man and stand up for your players and maybe they'll play like they give a damn about you.

Felt like the Cardiff guys were wearing B&W in the shootout.

Arteta has been brilliant.

Haahahaha

What a match.

Get in. Fuck spurs.
-
Fuck Spurs. They're a shit club on a good run at the moment. Leffe is the only redeemable thing about them. They have cunts like Bale and Adebayor playing for them, and of course that cunt Redknapp is managing them. I'd rather Arsenal win any day of the fucking week. Face it, Pardew's about to throw away our challenge for 4th so I might as well hope a team like Arsenal get it instead of Chelsea or Liverpool, both despicable clubs.

Get in!!!!!!!

Fucking get in.

Exactly. With Jonas unable to find a way past Zubar and our two CMs not pushing forward, the only thing Ben Arfa could have done was tried to go past players or take shots. He failed but he looked dangerous and had our two best chances of the half. If people think that is poor then what must they think about the half that Demba and Jonas put in? They were completely invisible.

Juve play some good football, man. I'd love to see us try to pass it around like they're doing.
-
It's weird seeing a team in B&W looking so comfortable on the ball, passing the ball with confidence and counter-attacking with such quickness. Oooooooh, Juve and refs.
-
Good tempo to this Milan v Juve match.
-
It was 55% but I'm with you, it was a poor first half performance masked by mistakes that they made which gifted us the lead. The second half started the same and then deteriorated after they scored. Let's also not forget that he made a double change when we were defending a set piece, which is something that is unheard of.

Newcastle vs Sunderland - Sunday 4th March 12:00pm
Taylor Swift replied to Decky's topic in Football
Ben Arfa will never get a start. Are you kiddin' me? If we start him, where will that leave the 'icon' Ryan Taylor? -
There is no movement in the team because all our midfielders are so fucking worried about who they have to mark when we lose the ball. It's fucking pathetic.
-
Because there was no one in the box? You want him to be a moron like Simpson and lob it aimlessly into a group of defenders? I'd rather he try and dribble around the whole team if it forces the other players in our team to move up and support him out of sheer frustration.
-
It would be fucking stupid if Pardew paid more attention to what happened in training than in the match but it certainly seems that way because there isn't any excuse for starting R Taylor again and again.

From what i heard last night Pardew's issues with him have nothing to do with on the pitch in games. What did you hear last night exactly? That its his lazy attitude and determination to do the bare minimum in training that infuriates Pardew and some of the other players. Pardew actually massively rates him on the pitch. Seems the 'workrate' issues arent tracking back but in actually proving he wants to play each day. Cue pointless reply bleating over Raylor/Obertan from someone. Pardew needs to learn from Fergie, who doesn't give a s*** about how his best players train. Yep, this. That the same Fergie who dropped a couple of first teamers over Xmas due to their unprofessional off pitch attitudes? Getting drunk is different to not training well. Scholes said a few months ago that he was always a shit trainer and Ferguson never took notice of it. There are some players who take their training into a match, and there are others who don't. A good manager can distinguish between the different types of players he has at the club. You can't expect every player to train like a superhero and be able to play like that in a match. Some guys might be good in training because they're not under pressure (ahem, Shola), while some others just can't up for training because they can't be arsed but put them in a match and they will be electric because it's the real deal. If Pardew expects all his players to go all out in training then he's fucking dim.

Newcastle United 2 - 2 Wolves - 25/02/12 - post-match reaction from page 34
Taylor Swift replied to Nate's topic in Football
Babayaro wasn't there when we were in the CL, and Hughes was a good RB in his day who ventured forward a lot with confidence, something that Simpson just doesn't have. -
I can't believe we're even discussing this tracking back nonsense. You've been fooled by Pardew's propaganda.
