I love how both teams try their hardest to play the ball on the ground. The long ball is really their last option.

Sanchez!! What a pass by Messi.
-
Ironically he wasn't touched.
-
Holy shit.

Are Real playing with 3 at the back? Who's their RB? I know Ramos has played at CB recently.
-
Three of those four were against the best sides in the league, and he was then dropped when playing against a newly promoted side away from home.
-
Pardew. I think most fans are willing to give him a real look in the first team to settle into a new league and also regain his ability before criticizing him.
-
It's astounding the lack of patience shown to Ben Arfa considering that he's had only 5 games in the Premiership in his career and has just returned from a year-long injury. You would think that someone of his quality would be given a lot more chances to settle into a new league.

Four at the back for Barca. Thank fuck.

It kicks off at 4am here. I don't know if I'm going to last 'til then.

Newcastle United Vs Swansea - 17/12/11 - Pre Match Thread
Taylor Swift replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
The bright side is that the way we lost today means that it gives Pardew a chance to completely reset the side. There isn't anyone that most of us want dropping that is undroppable anymore, and there isn't anyone that most of us want playing that shouldn't play anymore. He needs to get the team selection right. No R Taylor, no Obertan. No more excuses. -
We know that Santon can play football and Raylor can't. Well yes, which makes Pardew's hesitancy to start him quite inexplicable, doesn't it?
-
We don't really if Kadar is better in the same way that most of us didn't know that Santon is better than R Taylor. Pardew's seen him in training for 3 months and only started him today, but it was fucking obvious 5 minutes into the match that Santon is much better than R Taylor. That is what is so inexplicable.
-
Abeid over Gosling. Kadar for Perch. Ferguson would have been a better option than R Taylor in previous games. Santon as well, obviously. Sending on Lovenkrands instead of many, other better choices on many occasions this season. He makes a lot of these inexplicable decisions. Shola was all right today at the end but he was hopeless for 75 minutes.
-
Pardew's insistence on not playing youngsters and playing his 'guys' is becoming more and more frustrating.
-
van Persie's goal is superb.
-
Haddaway man you don't leave out a player like him because you're worrying about Norwich. Obertan gives less protection than Laurent Robert did but with the added bonus of having zero talent. Exactly. Why are we such pussies that we're scared of whichever Championship-level player they have on their wing?
-
Well the only defender we could of brought on was Kadar, who has no experience at this level, so to put him and Perch together at CB would be even more suicidal, no? He was right to keep it like that, we scored. It was the difference between who we were missing, and our 'reserves' which unfortunately was the difference today. How many times has Perch played in central defence at this level? Exactly, not many, but he still must of looked better in training than Kadar, who never even had a squad number 'til last week or something. Like R Taylor must look better than Santon in training every fucking day. Sometimes these things are really obvious: Santon is better than R Taylor, Kadar is a CB, Perch is shit. Pardew just makes some stupid decisions at times.

His marking for the first goal was pathetic, and gave away such a stupid foul which lead to the third goal. He's not good enough.
