Tight game. Barca's front three haven't done much but Juve will have to go for it in the second half. Should be a good game.
-
They're preparing for Zlatan to leave and him to be the replacement. It's a good, smart signing.
-
89%. Not bad. Real were such fucknuts at one point. Hoping they go crazy again.

Man, remember the shit that the Barca board got for not signing a new CB and RB? Turns out they may have known what they were doing after all. Football's crazy. Everyone thought Barca would go into a rebuild, spend 2 or 3 years patching things up. I even read comments saying Messi should leave because he's wasting his prime at a rebuilding club. They're going to win a treble after all of that. And the DoF is gone!

Why is our club so scared of hiring foreign managers? When was the last time we had a foreign manager? Foreign meaning not British. Must be Gullit, right? God damn nearly 20 years ago already.

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?
Taylor Swift replied to Dave's topic in Football
A slow Ronaldo will be something like Drogba today. He'll have his games and he'll score, but he won't be good enough to play regularly in a top team. Messi, should, if he can create space for himself, be able to play until he's super slow and even then would be good as a substitute. -
Barca should be on Verratti first and foremost. A RB, CB, CM and a substitute forward. I'm sure they can bring some youngster through for the forward position and maybe Samper can fill in one of the MF positions, but they still need one more midfielder and Verratti would be perfect. His contract is also down to 2 years so they can sign him next year for a reduced fee since they can't sign him this summer anyway.

French and has lots of experience playing for top class managers. I'll take him. Better than hopping on the British manager merry go round.

that's a crap pun Sorry, TJ.

Ings would be a great partner for Kane. Ings is clever and runs the channels well, and Kane looks like a legit #9.

Really, developing countries should not get the WC. Too many bribes happen along the way and the infrastructure development that occurs is unnatural and almost too often never used by the public after. It really should be middle income and above countries if you're looking for a first time host. Brazil, as great as their history, should not have hosted it. How much money went into the hands of politicians and well-connected people is such a shame. The political institutions aren't ready for the massive amount of government spending on areas that haven't been gone through the proper planning and assessment.

The Swiss authorities have launched a separate probe now too. It's all happening.
-
The Thai head of FA got arrested too. He's been booed at every match the national team plays for years but he won't resign. Rot in jail, cunt.
-
Heh, it was always going to be the yanks because they don't give a fuck about offending other people.

Just read that federal indictments in America are successful 93% of the time. Those FIFA boys are fucked. The bar to indict someone is incredibly high because they have to convince a grand jury, then they had to convince the Swiss authorities too. Seriously, these boys are going to squeal.
-
It's cool to see that it was the Swiss authorities that did the arresting because it shows that even they are bored of FIFA. Hopefully a lot of high level guys go down from this.
-
The low level piggies are going to squeal when the US government says 10 years in the pen or talk.
-
What about Delofeu? Any chance Enrique will let him play next year?
-
He just needs to survive next season to get the TV money. The right man and all that shit is meaningless. Survival is the name of the game for him.
-
I assume with our costs lower than last year that it'll be another banner year for the accounts team. Dat profit, just increasing every year now.
-
Juve got almost all of the Italian CL pot so they're getting more than any other team, I think. This would have been the case even if they lost in the semis or QFs, iirc. Anyway, it's good to see them invest but it's probably a one off unless other Italian teams don't plan on making the knockout rounds.

Benitez for 2 years then Zidane?
-
Fuck that. He owes Liverpool nothing. Liverpool have treated him like he owes them something. He might even end up at a club like Bayern since they're in need of some youth at the wings and he's got loads of potential.
-
Because those in charge of the game create stupid and shit rules that only favour the status quo. Sometimes they do this unintentionally but a lot of the times they're lobbied and pressured into doing it.

The system that prevents competition is the likes of Sterling jumping ship because he doesn't turn up when it matters so he needs someone else to get him medals. Yes and no. He's going because City are the better team for him, but that's because City have tons of players on loan and they exploit other rules that make it harder for Liverpool and Spurs and Arsenal to overtake them. Fix the system and guys like Sinclair and Rodwell will stop going to them, and then English players might actually develop instead of being on the bench of the best teams to fulfill a quota. That quota thing is ridiculous too, it's basically raised demand of English players so a lot of the good ones are stuck on the bench at City and Chelsea.
