Pepe is hilarious. He's a true villain.

Golazo!!!

Steady on. I thought Ramos got him in the body and the feet, mate. Costa's a big boy, it didn't look like a dive.

That was a clear penalty. Should be 1-1.

Proud to be British seeing that nonsense. Honestly. Aye because British players don't play act. Kyle Lafferty.

Just stay and grumble. It's what makes this place.

Everton are so close and so far away from scoring at the same time. Theyve gotten the ball into a dangerous area so many times then it all falls apart when Pienaar and Naismith touch the ball.

He scored in 7 straight Clasicos, scored a ton against Atletico, has scored in the CL final and semi final. The guy is a big game player, it's clear. When he was younger, he would shy away from the occasion but these days, he shows up when it matters, undoubtedly. His record for Portugal also supports this.

They'll always sell out, fans but the merchandise, get the mega sponsors, etc. It's only right that the players get that money because at the end of the day, that's who the fans pay to watch and like it or not, Rooney's one of their most popular. Yup. It's basic economics. He does something so well that most people can't, and that something is what people enjoy watching and are willing to pay for. Hence, he gets paid really well. This is not like bankers' salaries where they game the system, rent-seek and obtain higher than market value salaries. This is basically the free market in action and I'd say he deserves every penny of his salary.

I would take Cristiano over him. The consistency, the work ethic, the professionalism; these are his underrated characteristics. Ronaldo in his prime was awesome but if I could take one player for his career or even a five year stretch, there's no doubt that it'd be Cristiano.

Every team above us that could realistically afford him don't need him. The two teams in Ligue 1 that could afford him don't need him. The three in Spain don't need him, same as the two in Germany. The Italians don't have enough money to spend £10m on a keeper who isn't world class. The demand is limited.
-
'keepers aren't really going for more than £8-10m so I wouldn't be worried about us selling him. There is no market for them at the moment because all the top teams have a stable set of keepers and the lower tier teams aren't willing to pay that much for them.

All Thai politicians are corrupt and inept. Please not any of them.

I'm sad for Ben Arfa and I'm sad for us. If we had a more competent manager, he'd have come far closer to fulfilling his potential. I lay the blame for this solely on Pardew. I won't be having this 'Hatem is equally at fault' shit. If Pardew was doing better with other players and our team looked good, I could accept the argument that it's Hatem's fault. As it is, Pardew has shown no ability to develop players or get them playing at their full potential. Sissoko, Santon, Gouffran, Tiote etc are all examples of players who are inconsistent and that is a reflection of Pardew's managerial abilities. Yeah, Ben Arfa has been overweight for a good 8 months now and that's a real shame that he's flushed his WC dreams down the drain, but seriously, Pardew is way more to blame for this situation than Ben Arfa is. We'll get maybe £8m for him, which would be a disaster.

 That is the funniest thing I've read all day. All the clever posts on imgur can't compare to this.
