That just makes you look pathetic

Just casually getting this onto the current page. f*** it, ill drink the piss of the entire population of burnley if they go through! sky sports live score centre says "burnley are 15 minutes from wembley. spurs are 15 minutes away from utter total humiliation" The press won't care, im sure the story won't get a mention. Because they are completely biased towards Spurs and london clubs aren't they

Man must be working for absolute peanuts if keeping him would be significant savings over appointing a manager from the Championship. A club with a manager under contract requires permission and compensation. Kinnear is unattached.

Liverpool are self-sustaining even with the debt. Chelsea are dependent on the whims and fortune of a single man. Liverpool would lose money annually if they weren't in the CL, but Chelsea lose money annually even when they are in the CL and without debt repayments (I think). Not sure how you can say Chelsea's future is much more stable than Liverpool's. As for us, despite what the doom mongers will have you believe we were self sufficient pre-Ashley and were not about to go into financial meltdown. The debts have fluctuated over the years, and due to a period of relatively poor on field results and a need to replace the likes of Shearer they had increased in the latter years, this is true. It is also true for every other club in the league. To put it in perspective though, the debt was only a few million more in 2007 than it was back in 2001. The turnover in 2007 was £87m, the turnover in 2001 was £56m. We didn't go into receivership in 2001 and we weren't about to in 2007. If you believe the figures Ashley comes out with ("I then poured another £110 million into the club not to pay off the debt but just to reduce it" 14/09/08) the club has managed to lose £40m+ in his first year or so of ownership (the net debt at 31/06/07 was £70m in the 06-07 accounts). I'm really not sure how the club managed to lose that much when net transfer spend was at most £10m over his entire tenure and TV revenues increased by £20m per year. I guess running the club "responsibly" is expensive work, but if we're losing that much per year now under Ashley I'm not sure why you think we're more stable now than we were previously. But then again, not only are Liverpool struglling to inject big finances (the sort of finances they made need to compete with City around) but how detrimental would not qualifying for the CL be for them? Its a much more detrimental situation to be in witht he owners not persoanlly financially tied into the club then one where the owner is and less suspceptible to walk away just like that, also Chelsea are a year away from breaking even.... ...no.

Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season

Robinho finally realizing how badly he f***ed up Maybe there's truth to the jokes that he thought he was joining Man United. He did sack his agent not long afterwards -
In one of the statements released by the club, they said something like 'club was still hemorrhaging money' or something along those lines, so are all the debts gone?

We are clearly doing something ie: bids rejected. It is harder than it sounds, im judging it on Feb 2nd. The clubs may not want to sell their players. if whats in the news is true then we are making bids that would never get accepted. ..but its not unusual for transfers to fall through on the valuation of the player. Everyone knows we need to strengthen, can only tell after it all.

It's not guaranteed they will talk. they have only deterred any possible interviews until after the window.

You rest your case? Fuking hell, amateur LA Law here like? Lol that as it may. You can't possibly rate Wise over Keegan, no one would/should. I can't remember me saying i do, you are arguing points that have never existed. If Ashley compromised with Keegan he would still be here but Ashley wouldn't budge. The whole fall-out was caused by the Wise man we have no idea what happened behind the scenes or that Keegan didn't give a s*** - i would wager he cared a lot more than all of them. nice. ..other than a fall out between the two! we dont know what caused this really, how the problem was handled, was Ashley aware of it or not, when was he made aware of it - when Keegan stormed out? Why were there reports from his friends saying he was fired? Why was there no communication with the fans for ages? were they hoping he would return? Read between the lines thats caused most of the problems. people just assuming ashley/wise etc is to blame based on "reading between the lines". if people could just focus on the facts we know then they'll be surprised at how little evidence there is other than "he said, she said". Thats why i said we don't know what happened between the scenes - which you tried to ridicule. I was pointing out to Toons Taylor that there is no reason to call Keegan such and such, when we dont really know what happenned. Other than it involved Wise and Keegan and the Chairman.

the club's run be idiots; simple as that I think its more of a chance of it is being ran the way they want it to. With "structure" they are comfortable working in, they must think their fortunes are bound to change. I hope for our sake, not happy with the appointment one bit (if true).
-
Not one! Previously before the new season, he seemed to listen to the fans. Remove Allaryce because of fans opinion, appointment of someone to bring back attractive football. I really hope he starts this again, try attend games - directors box and see how unhappy we are with Kinnear/performances etc. He needs to make an effort to show he has a strong renewed interest in NUFC.

I see that Ribery is now worth £120m too. Football's gone mad, and City are to blame Ridiculous isnt it? Its completely counterproductive, it may imporve the level of the premierlegaue in terms of quality of player but other teams just dont stand a fighting chance, its sad to say but the premierleague will never be a competition again. Just imagine buying someone for that amount and he doesn't perform in his first 5 games, fans would go nuts. If they flop it's quite possible they could make a lose of 100 million on one player

Smart ass i'l change title then

There maybe a thread like this if there is i'm sorry didnt see it However lets forget all the drama of the past and not bring up the K man! Just curious to know the answer to this - seems to be split down the middle, if the club is to grow surely we must back him right? Has this guy got that in the majority here? Can he ever?

Has he a history of it? Debateable. Also he did lose control over transfers but still wanted to soldier on for the club he loved.... SBR was 10 times the manager Keegan was, antoher reason why i dont understadn the messiah like status afforded to Keegan. He only won one trophy in England though. Dalglish was 10 times the manager Sir Bobby was With Ipswich. Also wont the UEFA cup, and numerous other trophies thoroughout his career. Dalglish has only done it at an already great liverpool side (admittedly) and once at Blackburn. Its up to you to say which one you think is the mightier achievement. You might even say, what do you think of a manager who won four titles at two different clubs and three manager of the year awards. What do you think of a manager who won 2 division 1 titles and 1 division 2 title and no manager of the year awards with 4 different clubs? Harsh, but fair. And is our best manager ever

Can't even be bothered to argue this anymore, Keegan had a team capable of winning titles for only 2 years, and was desperately unlucky. When Dalglish took over, he showed his class for sure. Keegan also had reasonable success at every club level.. but fuck him right.

Well who do you rate higher? Keegan or Dalglish? What has Keegan achieved at nufc that Dalglish hasnt achieved at Liverpool. The timescales are similar, i doubt liverpool fans would be blinkered enough to hold the same torch for Dalglish that they do for Keegan, they certainly wouldnt protest like we did. Do you know who Keegan is? Jesus wept. He brought this club up through the divisions, established us, got us to the top and were the most entertaining side in England. So that makes him a better manager? Ye, have you seen a manager take over Exeter or a similiar club and storm through the divisions like he did, a few points off the title? No? Obviously.
-
Question for everyone IF Sir Bobby quit after our 3rd place finish blaming no control on transfers would he be called a bottler, and didnt give a shit about NUFC? As some people on here beggars belief

Toon's Taylor... Mike Ashley chose .. Dennis Wise > Kevin Keegan Rest my case, one of them had to go for future of NUFC to work and us to run properly, since then we have been so rosy
