  1. would modric even get spurs young player of the year nomination? Yeah, he has had a really good season. Should watch them sometime and see for yourself.
  2. Biggest mystery perhaps ever, how this clown passes off as a footballer and every single manager rates him. How can he be so good in training? he can barely move let alone run, he can't jump or head the ball particularly well and he can't strike the ball that good either. About as dynamic as a dead fish. I don't think i can recall an occasion where he bullied a centre half. Although saying that he probably bullies Collocini in training which isn't much to brag about.

    Decisions, decisions

Worst: Graeme Souness + money. Summer of Bowyer (in hindsight) Tino Asprilla. Keegans rant. SBR's summer of Viana, Bramble. Mike Ashley wanting to buy a football club. Dennis Wise. Best: Keegan -everytime he has been here. SBR and his some of buys Bellamy, Robert in particular Selling Woodgate [hopefully can say soon] Alan Shearer being brought in, saving us from relegation.
  4. Best goalkeeping performance I have ever seen. Will forever hate him for it.

    Obafemi Martins

Everything from Shearer about Martins has been positive, indicating he rates him highly. I think it's a bit different in that respect - alot more unjustified if he feigned injury. The situation with Bellamy - he was played LW under Souness in the season he was our top goal scorer and he knew the club wanted to sell him (Yakubu) and felt he wasnt being treated right. Also he was still top goalscorer come the end of the season too.
  9. tbf, they showed more with hughton, played well v man utd and arsenal No one expected them to win those. Hence a 'pressure kind of us' performance.

    Obafemi Martins

Are you actually surprised? The same thing happened with Given
  11. When the players haven't got the confidence to pass the ball on the deck, take a touch to control the ball look up and play a pass. You know your in the shit. Not one leader on the pitch, pathetic. Not shearers fault, everyone but at this moment.

    Obafemi Martins

Martins to do a Bellamy style interview now would be all that we need
  13. Don't believe that, Collocini has more than filled his boots... oh wait.
  14. Have to agree. I'm a huge admirer. His occassional outburts irritate me but he is a great player and does everything you could want really. I'd take him over Ronaldo every single time. ...over Ronaldo?? World Player of the year and Ballon d'Or of the year right? over 40 league goals last season, when has Rooney got anywhere near that? Not to mention the amount of chances Ronaldo creates for others. Sorry just find that statement incredible.
  15. No, they're s***. wish we were that s***. I'm comparing them with Manchester United, not us. They're s*** compared to Manchester United, and that's why they won't win the title, but Manchester United will. Ye the head-to-heads this year between the two suggests that.
  16. Thats just the BBC trying to make out that they are more important to Alan Shearer than his home town football team. Good luck with that BBC LOL by simply quoting him you have managed to spin it to make it look like BBC are anti Newcastle. Incredible
  17. Even positive news with the Shearer appointment tries to be ruined by Llambias with the ridiculous notion that Kinnear will replace a Newcastle legend - who wants the job and can not possibly be any worse.

    Owen

Not to mention, the kind of team Rooney plays in where they score about 3 times as many as Newcastle create 10 plus chances a game, win ratio well over 50%.

    Owen

England: Owen: 89 caps 40 goals Rooney: 49 caps 21 goals. So even with Owen not really doing anything for England since WC98 he still has a better goal ratio than Rooney. His Newcastle record is 64 appearances 26 goals. Rooney for Man Utd 148 appearances 62 goals. Both about 2.4 appearances to a goal. So your argument isn't really supported by any figures. Owen CAN hold the ball up, link up play, etc when asked to do that role. End of previous season, head and shoulders our best player.
  20. Imagine if Shearer keeps us up only for Kinnear to be given the job permanently

    Owen

How long was Rooney's goal drought for England??

    Owen

Bent has 10 league goals this season, better than Owen, and only 5 behind the premiership's top scorer. Bent hasn't started nearly as many as Owen either Is Capello laughable? because he clearly agrees with me. Owen has failed at international level post 98. He's chipped in with a few goals in friendlies but where it matters he hasn't delivered. He's England's 6th choice striker now, and rightfully so What a gigantic load of BS LOL So Owen didnt take part in that 5-1 win in Germany when he got a hattrick. He didnt score any goals in qualification for the 2002 world cup did he. He also didnt score against Brazil in a game during the world cup that we SHOULD have gone on to win had it not been for Ronaldinho and Seamans awful level of vision. Atleast try to back up your pointlessly illogical hatred of Owen with the smallest hint of a half decent argument. The ironic thing is Owen game has suffered with numerous injuries which Ronaldo now criticizes a great deal - ignoring the fact Owen is in a very very poor team, yet the player in his picture hasn't been the same player for a hugeee number of years for very same reasons. Which he will probably now try to defend.
  23. What a ridiculous article! "Fears among the Toon Army" What a load of s****! What would be the advantage of administration for Ashley?
