Pile of shit. We created some chances out of nothing in the 1st half but got absolutely murdered in the 2nd. For such a master tactician it amazes me how Sam could even think about changing Taylor in the 2nd half. 'We need a goal so , I know, I'll change the defence.' The same happened against Derby and we got beat there as well. While I'm on, Smith looked crap, I've always rated him but he looked lazy today (had the odd brief glimpse of stringing a pass together) and my opinions rapidly changing.

Just been to watch the lads from the academy v Consett. Consett absolutely dominated the game and won 5-1. The academy players didn't look interested one bit and I find this quite worrying for the future. I know these are young lads trying to make a name for theirselves but this was Consett's 3rd string FFS - at least try to look interested.

Was talking to one of their fans on the walk away from the ground. He was making similar comments about Martins saying how he's unstoppable when he gets going and how good of a player he is. Like has already been said it's just a question of whether we can keep hold of him.

The 2 lads that sit next to me left got out of their seats about 20mins into the game. I thought they'd gone for a Bovril or something but when they didn't come back after 10mins I gave 1 of them a ring. They'd pissed off to Shearer's and so I decided to join them. For once in quite a long while I actually enjoyed the game (well 2nd half anyway). I've thought for sometime now that the only thing that spoils a day at the match is the actual match. We were piss poor but who cares - I seriously couldn't give 2 fucks about how we do for the rest of the season.

Would agree with that. A lot of people go on about how it would be 6 easy points for us - as we know there's no such thing as easy points for us. The teams we expect to beat e.g. Fulham beat us, and then we manage to beat teams like Liverpool. Added to the fact that derby games are different to all others with so much being at stake then it all comes down to which team turns up on the day and the points could go either way.

rang the box office non Friday to see whether I'd got the tickets I'd applied for. was told that they haven't been given out yet but I would definitely get them and any extra tickets I'd asked for. sounds like there should be plenty left for a general sale.

Everyone out! Couldn't make the match cos I was working so gave my ticket away (Didn't even think of trying to sell it). Didn't go to work in the end anyway cos I'm at home with crippling stomach pains, which currently sounds more pleasant than being at the match. I didn't go today for the first time in years. Sadly, I'm getting to the point where I'm past caring. Didn't bother to sell my ticket. Just sat in the house playing FIFA and Tiger Woods with a few cans and I reckon I've had a much better day than if I'd gone to the game. Staying in is the new going to the match!!!

Yet another depressing day at the match. We should have buried them in the 1st half - created plenty of chances and Rossi looked really sharp with his passing and the way he read the game (trying not to get too excited about him though as he's only ours for another few weeks). 2nd half we didn't create and the atmosphere seemed to drain away as we realised we weren't getting the 3 points. Once again Bramble pulled out a couple of absolutely disgraceful errors (it might be better just starting with 10 men and leave him off instead of risking playing this shit for brains excuse for a defender costing the game). And what is it with Duff? He constantly walks around looking like he doesn't want to be there and spits the dummy if things don't go his way. And to put the icing on the cake - by the time I got home from the game I'd missed the start of X Factor. Sad, but the way things are at the moment I'd rather be watching it - at least it's 1 pile of crap that doesn't cost me £500 a season to watch.
