    Sunderland...

IMHO definetely worth signing - not much better strikers in our range available... http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/696/bendtnernufc.jpg/ Opinions?
  2. Cabaye? Just won the league in France and gave up the opportunity to play in the Champions League to sign for us. How is he not a "quality player"? I think Jose's made himself look a bit stupid and petulant tbh. Yes but we didn't spend £35m on him, so regardless of how good he is it doesn't matter. If we spent £35m on him everything would be alright though. nah that would be daft. spending 35 million on making the team better would be a canny idea though. you know, the team? the one you watch every weekend and would like to get better at playing football. The team has improved since the end of last season... It seems to me people just want the money spent, regardless on whether or not it actually improves the team. We've managed to improve it whilst not spending a lot of money, which is a huge deal because the money hasn't been spent. Easy solution - overspend. Everybody would be happy because we've spent the money that we had to agreed
  3. No player is bigger than the club. Not even Shearer was bigger. Enrique? Have a laugh....

  7. Andy Carroll will never ever be a player near the standard of Alan Shearer. He was nowhere near good enough to be mentioned in the same breath as Big Al.

    What if...

I am neither a big fan of Ashley nor his solicitor but I can understand his decision in a way - not the timing. I am neutral on Pardew so I wish him and the players the best for the rest of the season - anything better than 18th is a decent finishing position. Fair play to Hughton, he managed to bring us back immediately to the PL - but tbh with the quality of the players left the only thing needed was a sensible approach, some decent performances and a bit of luck. He achieved that easily and he grew with the games. Still: we've lost/drawn to some of the "opponents againt relegation" at home, the tough times are still ahead - no matter who's at the helm. Get behind the players and give Pardew a chance - not Ashley.

    What if...

... Pardew gets us to finish in the top half, will you for Ashley's decision?
  10. We've lost or drew some homes games we should never have lost or drawn - a lot of tough home games to come, no matter who is the man in charge - we can't depend on staying in this leaue just by getting our points away from home
  11. I think CH deserves a lot of praise for managing us through a really tough period last season - he worked miracles tbh. But at the end of the day I honestly think that he took us as far as possible - I just hope that the next manager will be of real quality. Get behind the team and support our lads - they deserve it! HTL
  12. Barton's deliveries are on of the main reasons why. Quality crosses are rare these days. Thanks to Joey (and rarely to Jonas) we are in the position to score at anytime.
  13. I'm travelling to Newcastle for the last home game, hope promotion is save by then... anything else doesn't matter to me
  14. 1 Newcastle 96pts 2 West Brom 94pts 3 Nott Forrest 81pts 4 Swansea 79 pts 5 Cardiff 75 pts 6 Leicester 73 pts
  15. Like you know how to pronounce it. It's sounds like tamaaasch As I am half-hungarian i should know
  16. I come over from Austria to see my beloved Newcastle United to lose the 1999 cup final against man u 0-2. Spent over 500 quid on the trip and despite the loss it is a memory that will live with me forever
