The thing is, in many ways Best is actually a better player. His flick ons are vastly more accurate, he has a much better touch and shows some good pieces of skill on the occasion. However Carroll is such a monster that if a team is built around him then he will always score more goals. I thought liverpool were trying to do that with signings who can book a really good ball in the box such as Downing and Adam but they don't seem to want to make use of him properly at all. edit: oh and my answer is Best.

Given that in that squad there are only three actual defenders (R.Taylor is right midfield as far as I am concerned) you would have thought that taking Kadar would have been sensible since he is probably the next best thing we have. I also thought Tavernier finished his loan so even he could have been included, you have to give yourself the option even if it's an untested youth in my opinion. edit: just gone on .co.uk and seen "Tavernier extends loan". Given no defensive options right now that might be a little unwise.

Carroll got good the moment I said to my dad that I thought he wasn't going to make it. That's why Ranger will be amazing next season, i've given up hope. All Vuckic needs to do is convince me he's useless and he'll be the next maradona.

I wouldn't care who sponsors us but I wish we swapped them for someone who didn't require a patch (or any other kind of over sized logo). I know we need to take the best deal available but I really do hate the patch.
