You had a super bollocks start too last season too right? -
I hear that Ayoze Perez if going to retire. I called it 15 years before it happened. ITK.

I think Steve Black is more than a potential name given he retweeted this: @B1ackie Every good wish to you & Steve Mac.Two top lads who I have the greatest of respect for. Always grateful for your help in tough days Loads of other goodbyes from QPR people too.
-
It does count in some countries I think. I seem to remember South Korea counts it. Am I talking utter bollocks?

interesting the word "deserve" being thrown around a lot in here...who does deserve a shot at the job out of interest? Me, I'm fucking quality. Or someone who has some recent success in top flight football.
-
Earlier this season. Not sure how you missed it.
-
I guess because Bobby Robson was one of the best managers in the world where as Steve McClaren is shit and doesn't deserve the job.

Is that a real paper? Or a random dutch website?
-
Steve Black will join backroom staff. Paul Simpson expected to join him too according to Mark Douglas

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Refusing to play for the club I can forgive, but praising Pardew!? He can fuck right off! -
It's no coincidence that the one not sacked is the one wanted by another club. Just trying to get a payout I presume.

Could hardly call Clark failed. Did well for Huddersfield and managed to keep a s**** Birmingham up. Actually, your right he is s****. Who am I kidding? Quite like the bloke though. Him being a fairly well liked local lad is all that he has going for him. The Huddersfield fans hated him by the end as well, regardless of them being unbeaten. Why's that then? Bland football? How can they HATE a manager who keeps the unbeaten? Fair enough wanting more but HATE. He had a huge budget in the league I believe and despite being unbeaten it was a lot of draws and never got them promoted. Spent more than most Championship clubs.

Lee Ryder will probably link us with a bid for Tiote.

Andre Ayew wouldn't represent value for money? Isn't he on a free?

I'd take someone uninspiring who might actually be pretty good than someone who is exciting but ends up being s****. Sanchez Flores isn't any better than McClaren at all, anyone suggesting otherwise clearly just going by name and nationality. If McClaren was a French coach with an identical record there'd be far more support for him on here. Because people would know less about him and the unknown offers a little excitement. But we do know about McClaren and his very mixed management record and the poor quality of football he has historically employed. Absolutely, I was excited for both Dalglish and Gullit. Look how those turned out. Regards to McClaren's football, did you watch much of Derby last season, or the season before? His time at Derby is two years in a career spanning 15 years. His other jobs have not been attacking at all.

Watford are a Premiership side though.

I won't class Derby as a failure . He has left them in a better position he found them although he should have at least made the playoffs. Even the highly regarded managers in England have had blips in their career Pochettino in his last season at Espanyol, Koeman at Valencia who was sacked despite winning a trophy in the same season, Martinez relegating Wigan etc.. .As a manager who has never relegated a team I'd say it's more of a risk for him managing us then us appointing him, given our league performances in the past 3 seasons and the resources he will work with . Derby were 10th the season before he took over and were 8th when he was sacked. Not exactly left them massively up the table after two years. I'd say his time at Derby wasn't a failure but it wasn't really a success either. Manager's do have blips but McClaren has more failure than success. He's not a tragedy of a manager, but his record does not qualify him to manage a club like Newcastle. The fact that it's been a decade since a Premier League club has given him a job surely emphasises this. It does sound bad the way you're stating it but when you look in detail they finished 1 point less than the 5th and 14 points better than the 10th team. That gives a better idea of their progress than only their league position. Not to mention their style of play...DCFC forums have all been saying he's had them playing the best stuff they'd seen for years. Derby County was the only time in his career he has played anything other than defensive football though. Twente were a success but all three seasons he spent there (the two good and one bad) he had the 2nd best defense in the league but a relatively poor attack. Middlesbrough he was obviously well known for poor quality football. I seem to remember the football being crap under him for England. Didn't see Wolfsburg or Forest under him but those were train wrecks regardless of style. Maybe he has recently changed his style or maybe it is something of a one off.
-
But instead he took a Dutch team whose previous 10 league campaigns had finished with them anywhere between 4th and 12th and led them to a runners up spot and then the following season to the title. Didn't AZ Alkmaar win the league the season before? It was a bit of a weird time in the dutch league in general it would seem. Still certainly a success though. Not sure what was happening with the normal dutch big teams though.
-
Not particularly given it's league position that actually matters. But I get your point and as I say I don't see it as a failure, just not success either.

Excellent, can you quote me everyone on this forum who has said McClaren Out (without actively trying to be a dick or deeply sarcastic). I'll do it for you... There you go.

What are you on about? Sheffield United are WORLD CLASS!

I don't know. If we had the option of Guardiola or McClaren I'd be umming and ahhing about the decision for ages.
