No. £500,000 a week works out at 24 mil a yea( i think)r, which is pretty bad but it should get better. Next year we will recieve about 30 mil (minimum) and with the parachute payments this year of 12 mil that means we will be 18 mil better off, which means that we will still be losing out on 6 mil a year however attendances will be much higher by about 7,000 plus higher ticket prices. How much more that means i'm not sure. Any one have any ideas I would also think that they will renegotiate sponsor prices etc.

In todays football where money rules there no place for "fair play" I reckon. Sure, it would be nice if all the players were looking after each other and so on, but that makes the game lose it's little edge. I don't want to pay top dollar to see 22 mates running around pretending to play. No, I want to see a good battle between two good sides and if one player happens to go down, it's up to the ref to stop the game and tell the players to calm down. It's either the way it is now, ref stop the game if it's a serious injury, or all the teams stop playing if a player is down. The latter is basically what we had before and it didn't work so I vote for the ref alternative.

That sounds a bit weird I have to say, and wrong. Only if the game clashes with the CL tie it should be moved, otherwise it's a pathetic move by FA of whatever country saying basically the team doesn't have a chance to win unless they're given the absolute best preparations.

Love watching Valencia, as soon as they're on the ball they look to play a through ball for Villa. It's so easy to read, but must be impossible to play against. Agreed. They've been quite sloppy though. A lot of easy mistakes made in the build up play but with Silva, Joaquin, Villa and now also Dominguez (atleast in this game) they can afford to since they're bound to score a couple

Anyone else watching the Valencia - Getafe game? It's 1-0 to Valencia through David Villa, who else, but their left winger Dominguez should have scored a couple already. Got some great speed and hasn't had bad finishes but he's no Villa and therefore still without a goal.
