Newcastle United v Sunderland - 31/10/10 Live on SkySports HD1 1:30pm

Come on! Just kick the game off already! I'm shaking of nervousness like a Parkinson patient... Howay the Lads! -
Mourinho was just interviewed by swedish telly and his response to the question whether or not he would like to have Rooney in his team was class. He started smiling and simply said that he believes Rooney will sign a new contract extension with Manchester United and he'll end his career there. And then he left, still smiling in an odd way... Who knows what that means!

thats the one not sure on it tbh Wasn't he Bolton's record signing at something like £10m. They will want a profit on that especially as he is playing well now so it won't happen. Elmander's contract is up next summer, and this is a bit of a specialty of ours it seems. Either this is true and we are trying to capitalise on his contract running out, or this rumour is being sent out in order to get him a new deal. That's the thing. Even though he has had a tough first two seasons in England I think he is starting to find his feet now. Has always been very capable for Sweden. 4 goals in 7 games this season I reckon.. Elmander is a player who can run and run for ages and is fairly good in the air, but his finishing isn't all that though. He might score the occasional goal with his feet but he wastes far too much. And I say this a Swede..
-
The most obvious one but I've been well impressed by the young Chelsea player McEachran. Looked really comfortable against us with a couple of quick feet, and didn't look way too out of depth when he came on against City at the weekend

What a fantastic night!

Which is probably a good thing because if we manage to get anything from this game, just imaging what they'll do to us in the league. I mean, they'll cruise normally but if they're pissed off as well, it's going to be a nightmare.. -

Looks like van Aanholt still likes us a bit... -
Go back to sleep so the rest of us can see some goals

Or maybe the subs want to show Ancelotti what they can do? Anelka, Sturridge, Zhirkov and Benayoun are all on the bench today.

Well pissed off with my cable-tv provider now. I've ordered the Premier League package which include all games but they've messed up so I can't get access to the channels until october! With the line up news I'm more desperate than ever to watch the game and by the looks of it no sports bar in Stockholm is showing it! -
Pulis came early in the second half. Damn
-
Just read that Pulis isn't on the bench because his mother died earlier today. And Houllier isn't there either which means that both clubs are without their manager. I'm sure two teams with caretaker managers have met before but this is different and surely must be a PL first?

It's only a draw or a massive beating? I think a narrow defeat is infinitely more likely That's just my gut feeling and needless to say it's usually wrong -

Just watched the Match of the Day from yesterday and I can't believe that we didn't score. One out of Carroll, Barton and Nolan should have scored and with a little luck Williamsons header would have gone in. Ah well, fancy us getting a draw against Everton. It's either that or a massive beating but I think and hope Hughton make a couple of changes.. -
It's not a bad idea actually. Maybe our players should eat loads of garlic before the games?

Thing with Zlatan is that he needs to be pampered with. He has basically been the #1 star in every club he's been at since the age of 19 and wants the attention. In the beginning he did well at Barcelona, but then reality kicked in and he was just one of many stars so he just faded out... This must surely go down as one of the worst transfers ever for Barca? Money wise at least
-
Well, Harry has been out in the media doing what he does best, which of course is talking about what a fantastic player Fabiano is and so on so I assume we can expect to see Spurs lodge a bid any time now..
-
If swedish papers are to be believed, which in many cases they shouldn't as their journalists are utter shite, Zlatan has told journalists tonight that the move was an easy decision to make as Guardiola didn't want him there and had taken the joy of playing football away from him. Said that he was disappointed with the manager and raised the question whether or not Pep was 'afraid' of him. "When I entered a room he (Pep) usually left it..." As I said, this is the swedish side to it and I'm sure V.I. will provide the spanish one! EDIT: Oh, he'll probably be off to Real Madrid within a couple of years. Why do I think that? His hero is Ronaldo, enough said.
-
Zlatan will undergo a medical on monday and will after that sign for Milan. One year loan and then €24m. Milan are well pleased, just check out www.acmilan.com Strange transfer this and how much money did Barca waste in the end? €40m? €50 with wages?

The same section that mentioned that Kaka was spotted at Blackpool? You mean KaKa from the forum?
-
Here is a quality rumour from BBC Live football section "Anon via text: "(Newcastle defender) Steven Taylor spotted chatting to Arsene Wenger at Ewood Park."
-
Village Idiot, could you help me out with an translation? "Los 'reds' ingresarán los 22 millones de euros que pretendían... y el Barça pagará 19 millones. Los otros tres saldrán del bolsillo del argentino." I think I'm right in saying that Liverpool will get the 22 million euros they wanted (for Mascherano), with Barca paying 19 million. Am I also right in saying that the final three million is coming out of Mascheranos own pocket? If so, he wanted to leave ever quite so badly!
