  1. Think it'll be Mboomoh or Traff like
  2. Yup, the usual bailout for the useless, mistake-ridden, over-spending, under-achieving cunt clubs.
  3. 72m a year. Not bad I suppose.
  4. He's carried them for years, they'd have struggled even more without him.
  5. That bloke is utter toilet, wouldn't swap Osula for him
  6. All fair points but I wasn't really comparing us to them, despite our progress, we're still not in their ballpark from a revenue or global perspective. No, I was commenting on how they are now (and have been for 12+ years) as compared to 93-2013. Huge difference between 20 years of unrelenting success and the odd cup win, and it will take years to repair and culture changes they don't seem keen to explore. Every summer, they refuse to learn from the same relentless mistakes. They just go out and overhaul the squad yet again and spend 150m+ on the latest flavor of the minute players (and coaches) like the prior season never happened. Already, a talented but temperamental 100m player through the door. No change to the same over-spending or scouting model and culture that hasn't really worked in years. No learning lessons, didn't work last year at all? No problem! 1BN of debt? No sweat! We'll just spend our way out of it again. It's all relative I suppose, some in their fanbase would doubtless argue that the odd cup is fine but relative to expenditure, their league campaigns have been utterly pathetic and I can only see that continuing. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, one day if they keep spending enough, it might even "work".
  7. Hmmmmm. They're 1 billion pounds in debt, the stadium is falling to bits, they've not won the league, or even looked like doing it, in 12 years (a long time for them), only really been competitive in domestic cups, they pay stupid wages on average players which will catch up to even them eventually, an inflexible coach that hardly anyone believes in, who can't seem to even coach what he has and must overhaul everything as usual, hated owners, embittered staff treated like shit, ex-players rounding on them every 2 minutes. From the outside looking in, feels like a bit of a mess to me.
  8. It's weird. I do want us to be able to compete for these types of players but when our wage structure would be blown to smithereens instantly, what can we do? It's wrong a club that's been basically a failure and a basket case for 15 years, and in that much debt, can still casually pay those sort of wages. In a short career, you can hardly blame players for taking the money, even if it might come at the cost of sporting achievement. Need to scout out these players before they become established in the PL, much easier said than done.
  9. Very much doubt that any real thought was put into it. Costs a ton? Just had a good season? Opportunity to be seen paying stupid wages? Check on all counts. Good enough. Sign him. Cunts.
  10. Not that we were in for him anyway, or would have bent over for his absurd wage demands, but that Cunha transfer is a tiny microcosm of what we're still up against when it comes to competing for players. Man Utd just had their worst season in 50 years, no Europe whatsoever, little prospect of challenging, 1bn in debt, but sure, let's just casually pay out a 100m package on another flavor-of-the-minute player the second the season ends. Just because they can I suppose? Not doubting his ability btw, clearly talented, but there's something horribly depressing about a player like that in his prime, not even hesitating for a second to go there and likely waste his prime years. Wages in the game are just beyond daft. 1 billion quid in debt but no issue paying someone 15m a year as they sack half the staff at the same time. Gruesome club.
  11. Frank has been channeling Max Cady for a while
  12. Yup. He's been their best player season after season, probably every year since he's been at Man Utd. Hardly ever being injured is part of it and if/when he leaves, he'll be a huge loss.
  13. Chelsea were awful in the 80s, the Ken Bates years, Nazi fans, the Farmer's Rest incident in 86/87. Utter vile cunts. Then the Abramovich years on top of the latest stuff. Loathed them for decades. Everton seems to be more of an online thing, not had bother with them and went to Goodison loads of time in the 80s/90s.
  14. No chance and he'd cost too much probably but Wirtz, or a similar player to go along with CB, RW. I'd like to see a real lock-picker type player (I know we don't play with a 10 but an evolution of style is possible) to break down these low-block mid-table sides we've struggled against the most this season and to give us more class centrally for CL games. We can dream right?
  15. Chelsea all the way for me, I loathe them. Even more than the idiots 12 miles down the road.
  16. Got a stress headache that feels like i've been hit with a hammer but I don't give a fuck right now. Best season in my lifetime. 5th place and a cup. Wow man.
  17. No argument, we lose heavily most times we play there. In past seasons, could be understood. Not this year, they've been God-awful and we were just weak and poor that day.
  18. Yep, ball out to right, check back onto left foot and curl cross in. Boils my piss we struggle against these and suffer heavy defeats, they've been dogshit most of the season.
  19. City have had 81% possession. They want shooting with shit for creating only a couple of decent chances. Garbage football.
  20. Feels like Palace have had like 3 attacks total
  21. City being shit in the cup final again, can't stand Palace but I still hope they beat these boring bastards
  22. Palace winning this, defending well, countering well. City look flat and shit, Pep hockling as usual
  23. Its long overdue for their star to fade
  24. Ugh watching City is the pits man. CB trundles forward, passes sideways, ball goes back again, curled ball out wide, "winger" checks back inside, sideways again. Fuck me, horrific football man.
  25. City just aren't the same. They'll be scraping CL as well at this rate
