The worst Newcastle player you've seen in a match
LionOfGosforth replied to gjohnson's topic in Football
He was utterly hopeless but I at least saw him score in a win at Sheff Wed. Think he teed up the winner as well. He often gets mentioned as one of our worst ever strikers, along with Pingel. Think Pingel was actually worse but the memory is hazy and that 88/89 season is one of the worst ever. -
Yet to see Eze produce much of anything for England, seems to play very much within himself
-
Trent is absolutely rubbish at times, such a weird player, lacks awareness, loses concentration and gives the ball away so often
-
Never change Trent you berk
-
Could have had 2 goals, looks close to being back to last season's form. Maybe a little burst missing but that'll come, looks great
-
Irish press is next to useless
-
Good game for a striker with pace to get in behind, their backline is slower than the number 40 to chapel house. Is Watkins on the bench?

Sorry Cuba, just feels like years since i've enjoyed watching the national side, probably 2004 Euros was the last time Honestly just delighted Gordon got the start and is part of a functioning side, can only help him pick up after a rocky start
-
England look balanced, bright, quick, intelligent and totally in control, actually enjoyable to watch
-
As soon as I finished typing, I knew what would happen
-
More football played in that move than the entire Euros
-
What a goal. I knew Grealish had it in him
-
Grealish...still don't really see his function/effectiveness at this level. At club level, he stays wide generally, wins the FKs and passes sideways. At international level not seeing the point
-
Nobody? From memory it was Tripps on his own most of the time. Crazy
-
How much better would England have been at the Euros with Gordon playing on that left side man, fucking ridiculous
-
Looking sharp and bright, nice link-ups with Grealish and others
-
Some marking job at the back post there

Amazed to discover this is actually being televised in the US on FS1, curious to see if Carsley has put any kind of stamp on them early doors.

Lockwood Cup (10 year anniversary): 19/10/24 - Froggy's NUFC Homes win!
LionOfGosforth replied to Yorkie's topic in Football
Hope so too mate. Funny thing is, a lot of my early to mid 2000 trips back were right around the middle of October. Definitely hope to make it over again soon and would love to get involved with a forum meet, even if just to have a few beers. Would be quite surreal to finally meet a few of you. Sorry to derail, this is a great event and I love to see it still happens. I'll be there in spirit -

Didn't know Jon, in fact haven't met anyone from the forum unfortunately being a sad cunt that lives in the States, but this is one of those "wish I could be there" events. One day maybe, hope it's a great event for all. -
Seeing the Everton score has cheered me right up

You should post more mate
