  1. Even then, I imagine people will just go for the exits in quiet disgust rather than voice their frustration en masse. After years of lowering expactation, we've been suckered into the domain of outright apathy.
  2. It wasn't that easy. Needed good composure to dispose of it like he did. I dread to think what would have happened if that had fallen to Cisse for example.
  3. Why? Elliot has done well as the number 2 this season, and has been impressive on occasions, he's still young (for a goalkeeper anyway) and up and coming as well. Not good enough to be number 2 imho. He's done alright compared to my low expectations of him, but I wouldn't want to rely on him too much. Especially considering Krul seems to be picking up a lot of niggly injuries keeping him out for weeks at a time lately, and I don't believe we have a youngster currently good enough waiting in the wings.
  4. I think the atmosphere vs Arsenal will be flat as a pancake. Most people just want to forget about this season I'd imagine. Can't see there being a mass protest, although I think any "lap of honour" will be in front of a near empty stadium.
  5. With Harper retiring at the end of the season I'd like us to go and get a young up and coming GK to be number 2 next season, demoting Elliot to number 3.
  6. How is he a Premiership ref if he misses so many obvious fouls?
  7. Just noticed Anita was preparing to come on when Elliot had his moment of madness..

    Alan Pardew

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2013/05/12/3974043/i-dont-care-if-arsenal-beat-us-4-0-pardew-elated-after-newcastle- I can't believe it. If he's not sacked with immediate effect Dekka and Mike deserves a beating. One of the most embarrassing things I've read. How about none of the fans turn up for the game Pards? Idiot. They're quite embarrassing indeed. How realiable a source is goal.com, i.e. are these quotes definitely for real?

Don't want to jinx it... In all seriousness, of course it won't happen, but will be fun seeing the mackems brick it for another week (or at least until Tuesday).

We're safe and they're still knee deep in it.. Howay Wigan!
  14. GREAT SAVE! - Sunderland 1-1 Southampton Almost a crucial late goal at the Stadium of Light but Simon Mignolet makes a fine one-handed stop to keep out Rickie Lambert's hot on the turn.
