Cisse's conversion rate last season was 42% according to this analysis: http://www.eplindex.com/14273/best-premier-league-striker-opta-stats-analysis.html It was bound to drop over the length of a full season, but it would be interesting to see just how much it's gone down.
-
The pro rata approach unfortunately renders those stats questionable at best. Where are you getting your basic data from?

Top work HF. Certainly busts a few myths about our season.

Just seen your post on this page..

It's sad enough I've took the time to do Newcastle, I'm not deeing 20 other clubs. Nah, I meant for and against us.. Not sure how i would do against us, but you got me excited you slag...here you are... http://i41.tinypic.com/90qd52.jpg f***ing woeful, as you'd expect. Credence to the fact that the system creates enough, the players just don't convert them. You're a star! Indeed, as you say, this statistic is very meaningful. Assume you cannot compare to last season? Is fear it's down drastically..

Can you add chance (shot) conversion both us and opposition?

I don't think anybody is arguing that Pardew has done a good enough job this season, just that the chances of him being canned are slim at best due to the commitment the club very publicly gave him, so how can anybody be massively surprised that he will be given another crack at the whip when this is exactly what they said they would do at times of adversity. Also, the sheer denial of mitigating circumstances by some and the personal hatred for Pardew comes across as very childish to me, but hey ho..
-
I'm just flabbergasted so many people expected Pardew to get the sack after what Dekka came out with earlier in the season. Setting yourself up for major disappointment imho.

Nailed it.

Bollocks, look at the team we had out against Reading at home for one. Enlighten me what you mean by this please? I have looked and the only January reinforcement available to us at that date was Debuchy, who did play. Not sure how that is relevant at all to what I said.. Injuries and Europe had nothing to do with our s*** results in the same way that new players didn't. You sir are a master of argumentation..

Aye, because teams replace half their first team in the January transfer window and go on a magic run all the time? Why is it perfectly acceptable to say Colo needed a season to adapt to the pace of the Premiership, but not to suggest that integrating 4 or 5 new first team players in the team that already wasn't doing greatly was as much a blessing in terms of much needed squad investment as it was a hindrance to have to do it mid season? People hate it when Pardew uses "excuses" for things that haven't gone well, and he himself is also to blame for our gross underperformance this season, but there is no denying the impact injuries, "Europe" and too small a squad with panic reinforcing in January have had imho.

It's not really, it just gets a bit daft when everybody and nobody has the situation in their own hands. In more simple situations it's a good way of saying that it might not matter what a team does, it could still be impossible to achieve their goal even if they win every game. I think it particularly makes a huge difference psychologically to the players/teams involved.
-
The two already down you mean? Well aye..
-
Here we go again: no it isn't completely in their own hands.. Yeah it is. Win both and they have more points than Villa. Apologies, seems you are right.. Strange indeed that everybody has their own faith in their own hands technically.
