  1. I was too chicken to post this reference. Bravo!
  2. Definitely achievable. Luis Diaz, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota all to come back for the second half of the season. Arguably their three most creative players, but that being said, they aren't to be feared and goals can be had. As just witnessed! GET IN!
  3. Hahaha apparently they scored two goals against West Ham from throw ins. Rory Delap special! (who's a first team coach at Stoke, apparently)
  4. "Captain Chaos" I'm watching USA Network, so haven't had to hear their pet name for him, thankfully.
  5. The best non post of the Captain Stake Bake thread.
  6. That was some counter attack by Watfrord. Been a great, quality Champo match, just lacked a goal.
  7. Thanks for posting, had a quick browse. Similar sentiment on there to our lowest under Ashley, club looking rudderless and lacking ambition.
  8. Nope, I wasn’t in the ground to give an “eye test”.
  9. That’s the beauty of data/stats and analysis, they’re non bias and aren’t misleading in the slightest. He was our MAIN creative threat and not responsible for lacklustre finishing or missed chances.
  10. Statistically he was actually our best player on the pitch. Of the 7 “big chances” we created, he had 4 of them. He also had more of the ball (102 touches) compared to Bruno (77 touches) who was just behind Tripps and created nothing offensively. Said this in the game thread, but Meslier is a very active keeper with 4 high claims, 1 successful run out and punch clearance. What should have been addressed was his ability to get to those dead ball situations by targeting our bigger players on the edge of the box. That or blocking off Meslier getting to the ball to claim it. Obviously hindsight is a wonderful thing!
  11. Exactly. We were the dominant team, there’s no doubting that and unfortunately none of the 7 big chances we created went in.
  12. Big Joe had some words for him. Generally feared for Marsch’s well being.
  13. What the fuck? His fashion sense will fit right in.
  14. I’d have no issues with Arsenal winning the league. They’re a great team to watch and Saka is a special player. Rather them than, Man City.
  15. Wasn’t his best, I agree. Honking? Don’t think so. Again, Meslier commanded his area well today and played a huge part in Leeds coming away with a point.
  16. Meslier was great at coming off his line today, also made a brilliant stop on a Schar header that was going in. Tripps wasn’t poor in delivery, they were all decent to good balls into the box. Who else takes them? Bruno? Nah, you want him to pick up loose balls and apply more pressure, feed through balls or have a shot himself.
  17. Peak Pardiola, will never not love ❤️ this .gif
  18. I was trying to come up with a retort and I’ve got nothing.
  19. He absolutely did, couldn’t defend for shit.
  20. @Theregulars In theory, that's the way it's supposed to work and I agree, teams like the Bucks couldn't compete if there wasn't a hard cap and revenue share from the NBA. However, all the rich, glamour teams are the ones superstars want to play for and those teams spend a fuckload on facilities, player salaries and supplemental staffing. He's not wrong or incorrect, just not as cut and dry as he mentioned IMO. The best part of the EFL Pyramid (other European leagues too) is when the teams with all the history and money get beaten by smaller clubs who haven't traditionally had those resources. I also don't think Marsch is calling us out, I think he's merely stating having a pile of money helps when you can unlock it. Hard to dispute that.
  21. "You never know which way he's going to sky it in front of goal!!!"
  22. Ward is shit, but he’s got that cross all day long on the first one. So bad.
