  1. More Parky propaganda or as I like to put it, "Parkaganda". We aren't even close to being good enough for 5th. Getting in the top 7(most likely 7th) would be an achievement and realistic. I do applaud your optimism, people. Keep it up!
  2. 2 vertical posts and 1 horizontal one. Net attached to it. Stop taking your being denied out on others.
  3. Give us your login details and I'll get you sorted. you are jokin right?? Uhhhh..... ;-)
  4. No rest for the wicked. Damn you, damn you all to helllllll!!!!
  5. I blame this thread on Parky and his "We can finish above Arsenal next season" thread. Too many people bought into that. You should be ashamed, Parky! SHAME!!! Relax people, he's only owned the club four weeks!!! Glad to see the optimism last about half that time, probably much less.
  6. I heard putting emu oil on your bollocks and sucking milk directly from the cow's teet is as close to a break free skeleton as possible.
  7. True and it's been two years since we've seen a fight between our players on the pitch. Him and Nobby in a shank till you die knife fight away to the Mackems.
  8. I watched him play, seemed a bit of a twat. Fit right in at Chelsea with his moaning and complaining to the ref.
  9. He needs some support, could cause him back pain during pregnancy.
  10. I know, eh mate? Feck, I was just outside the park before half and everything was cozy. Ride my bike home, watch the 2nd half and the madness ensues! Should have rode it back down to watch that spectacle! Of course, Chile blames our police for everything: http://www.tsn.ca/soccer/news_story/?ID=214113&hubname=
  11. I don't think we have time to wait around on the Heinze situation, we need a left back quickly because the season starts in 3 weeks and Babayaro won't be available. But we also need central defenders as the article acknowledges. The only other "top class defender" who we've been linked with is indeed Barzagli. Given he's on the fringes of the Italy defence I'd be pretty excited if it was him. Not to mention that Palermo have stated that he is on the transfer market and has been for a while! Thought they wanted 11m for him, though?
  12. Not much, well, I didn't notice him do anything of note.
  13. (1) Angel is s***. He will stand out in MLS. (2) Lalas didn't bring Beckham over. The league brought Beckham over-- its a single entity. Prior to being the GM of the Galaxy, he was the GM of the San Jose Earthquakes and the New York Metrostars. He's a an errand boy, sent by grocery clerks, to collect a bill. (3) The attention span argument is bull s***. It has nothing to do with attention span. Look at how many Americans watch golf on television. There are a lot of historical and cultural reasons why football/soccer languishes behind other games in the US-- but "attention span" is not one of them. and baseball, the worst sport ever invented.
  14. No it's not, teams are still losing money, attendance is down and guess what, MLS draws more ratings in the States than the NHL does.
  15. Most of the MLS games I've watched this year chances and goals are a plenty. It's mainly due to horrible defending, but it's entertaining from an attacking perspective.
  16. Yeah mate, I'll be there. I'll report back next thursday.
  17. Lalas knows MLS is s***. He's a spokesman for the league and likes to see his name in the papers. He needs the attention, that's all. Is he trying to divert attention away from how shit the LA Galaxy are?
  18. Saving himself for England, tbh. Honestly people, this isn't a big deal. I'd rather he sit out our whole pre-season than him picking up something worse than a f****** thigh strain.
  19. I saw him play at our ground here (Toronto FC) and he was easily the best player on the pitch. Yes, the MLS is shit and I was only having a laugh mentioning that. Still, he could have stayed in the Prem with the Wigan's, Mackem's of the world. Also, for the record, I think the MLS will become a better league than most of you are leading on. Granted, it won't reach the heights of the bigger leagues around the world, but it will get better.
  20. MLS newbies Angel, Toja lift All-Stars past Celtic FC http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=446724&cc=5901 Villa get rid too early, Brummie? Also, I wonder if the MLS All Stars could win the Scottish Premiere League? I can't see them being too far off.
