Wait until May, probably get them on the cheap.

£10million on the kid who scored. Record for League 1 (record transfer for the division)
-

My dodgy stream is showing CBS Sports broadcasting this? Curious to how many people are opening wide to this. Stansfield levels! Becks and Brady enthused.
-
Wrexham up 1 already. Marriott with the goal in the most overhyped League 2 game of the century.
-
Doubt it.
-
Awful defending by Guehi. Class finish from Vardy.
-
Haaland goal, gets a very fortunate deflection.
-
Wissa most underrated forward in the league? Has to be up there.

Garnacho is such a good player, but his look, celebrations and personality grates me. The peroxide bowl cut doesn’t help. So annoying

Because it wasn't ‘fit for purpose’? It worked out of necessity, not necessarily process. They did a decent job, I quite like players we bought, but we also had to sell two promising players and have failed to shift some legacy players. Moving forward, we’ll be better getting value out of the market and we’ll see more players like Minteh be identified and play a role in us being a team challenging the top clubs domestically and abroad.
-
Couldn’t agree more, @KaKa Let Eddie manage the team, players and Mitchell handle recruiting, operations and Eales the marketing of the club. All of the elite clubs do this and now we’re doing it. Mitchell has been here for a matter of months. I love Eddie, but he can’t do it all at 100% efficiently and get us where we want to be.
-
never change, my guy!
-
It beggars belief, man. This forum: "WE WANT CHANGE AND WE'RE SICK OF OUR SHIT OWNERS" ....Takeover.......New Ownership dumps a bunch of money into the club........hires people with pedigree in roles previously done by a single barely competent thumbheed..... "NOT THIS CHANGE!!! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? MANAGEMENT SPEAK, CHANCER! DELEGATOR!" At least most are back to caring again!
-
What @SEMTEX said and that some contracts for elite players include 'no movement clauses' or they have a list of teams they are willing to be traded to.

We're also overlooking Ashworth having his head turned from the Manc Red's and probably checked out mentally at some point of giving two fucks. That and the cunty prick being on gardening leave since the beginning of the year has to have played a part in the PSR debacle, our transfer window being less than stellar, etc. Another thing we can learn from Brighton is their excellent contingency planning and change management processes. What I'm seeing instead of 'management speak' is talk of operational efficiency from Mitchell and everyone having much more defined roles, remit and responsibilities. We were run like a pound shop club for so long that there's always going to be some healthy realignment when key positions get filled.
-
This is awesome and exciting. I hope he finds us some genuine talent we’ve never heard of and they go on to be club legends. People are so focused on management speak () they’re not seeing the potential of all the above.

Where’s the fat guy’s named Steve?
-
People have their bias and hear or see what they want to see regardless, mate.
-
Did we? Most on here were pretty upset at the price we paid for Gordon. Isak, Bruno have come here an excelled under Howe and been given a bigger spotlight outside of their previous leagues. I think I agree with you on Isak and Bruno, but the sentiment was we overpaid for "Ratface" Gordon on here.

Infrastructure takes time! We went from nothing existing to now having people with pedigree in key positions moving the club forward and operating more efficiently than Ashley and Thumbheed ever did. Mitchell started in July, man, the time to roast him is probably a year from now. The worst aspect of our takeover and unexpected success is the immediacy to which everyone now wants change or sustained progression. We outperformed our targets too soon in many ways, which is great, but has now created some angst or frustration in our support. What I do love is the passion, we all have it back. ❤️

I think he was tossing Ashworth under the bus more than Howe. I think he was intimating that we need to focus on more than one player at a time.
-
Was that Howe or Ashworth? (Honest question, I have no idea) Also, very fair defence of Howe, he's not 'Brexit Eddie', I agree.
-
What were you shocked about? He came in, supported the current approach to player recruitment, it didn't work out, he's admitted as much and now has the autonomy to build the network as he see's fit. He's found some very good players at previous clubs and I hope he does the same for us while Eddie has the players performing at their best on the pitch.
