    Lewis Miley

For all his promise last season he basically never looked a goal threat; it looks like he may already be addressing that with two excellent finishes so far this year. Still don't think he's ready to be depended on because he still can't affect a game for a full 90 minutes, but definitely share everyone's excitement. That's two home appearances from him now where he's dragged us back into the game after falling behind.
  2. usual measured take from you. Bruno's put in some humongous performances for us this season but I share the concerns about his compatibility with the captaincy when our backs are to the wall. He's a great leader in other scenarios but when the game needs composure from the team, he ain't it.
  3. Well that'll be determined by forthcoming results I guess. But it was absolutely crucial that we remembered how to win at home and we did. From behind, too, for the first time this season.
  4. The hasty side of me thinks we should cut our losses on Tino tbh. Never seems to impress these days.
  5. Hopefully once everyone's cortisol has drained a bit, we can enjoy what is actually a brilliant, important, rejuvenating win, and dwell only on that exceptional first half. We got away with it a bit but ultimately the reason why we did is because we put such a distance between us and them early on.
  6. Once we got a bit more of a handle on it I did start to relax a bit, I thought we'd done enough and might pinch a fifth on the break. The way we surrendered that control again was horrendous They should've started Yates. He's not very good but he rattles us.
  7. Pope - 5 Tino - 7/5 Schar - 6/6 Burn - 7/7 Hall - 9/9 Willock - 8/6 Bruno - 5/5 Miley - 8/7 Murphy - 6/6 Isak - 8/5 Gordon - 9/7
  8. I don't think there's any need to go overboard on the criticism, mind. We did wrestle control of the second half for long enough, without ever being pretty. But 45-60 and 85-90 was absolutely rubbish. They did just enough and some of them were excellent for 90. Many were only excellent for 45.
  9. Good God that was an absolutely horrible watch. Obviously delighted to win but rage lingers when it comes. Honestly can't remember the last time I screamed that loudly when Wilson didn't pass it at the end there. Second loudest was when Tino didn't release it that time when he dribbled in field. Ludicrous team this season.
  10. Hate it when we play like this when in front
  11. I don't know why Hinchcliffe has that awful sneering tone whenever he commentates. He routinely had me in bits on Set Piece Menu.
  12. Brilliant that. I'll be on edge until we get a fifth though because we look desperate to give them another.
  13. Why is Hinchcliffe going hard in on Bruno there?
  14. That's it. And Liverpool was a total gift.
  15. Reminder that we get absolutely fucking nowt whenever we go behind at home.
