    Gareth Bale

I agreed with you about him going to Man U.
  2. And i'm not just referring to Huntington, there.
  3. Tells you a lot, really.
  4. Aye, he probably won't have to play very much anyway, once we've spent £73m on Crouch, Zigic, Huntelaar, Forlan and Babel... and, the summer wouldn't be complete with a bit of sickening sentiment, as we bring Sir Les back cos he 'knows the club'. Sibs won't get a look in.

    Gareth Bale

That's a point actually... if United get Bale in - i'd live to see us go in for Heinze. Was class in his first season and is an Argentinian internaiontal regular - speaks for itself. Been played out of the team, some would say, but he'd still be heads and shoulders above Evra if it wasn't for the injury. Has experience and the quality, and i don't think United are fussed whether or not he leaves. Would hopefully be an option.

    Gareth Bale

Yup, and if he doesn't end up there, his price will be inflated beyond all sanity because of it. I'd bet you any money, Southampton will try and squeeze as much money as they can out of Man Utd - knowing that wealthy clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle are also after him (even though we'd be wasting our time). It wouldn't surprise me at all if he went for something totally daft like £16m. Let the big boys have their fun with Bale while we sneakily get Baines in for half the cash, yet double the proven quality. Baines all the way.

    Sadly...

Cue... Chopra's scored a gazillion goals in the Championship this year. We should never have let him go.
  8. Could just go all out Vasco Da Gama. Ace kit.

    Sadly...

Definitely like Crouch as a player, but would be - as i've said in every other 'big name' striker thread - it'd be a pointless waste of cash, bringing in a player with an infnalted price, who we don't need. And, like i've said in all the other threads: Viduka - on a free.
  10. Not a cat in hell's chance that Milner will go. Unless of course the lad himself wants to leave, which you wouldn't really expect after such a good season for him. And it would be idiotic to let Solano go. Totally stupid. I'm fairly sure Roeder knows this. I honestly can't see Nobby leaving. I'd be willing to bet a hefty amount that Bramble will still be here by the time he is 30. If he doesn't go, i'll be gutted. He's not going to let Sibierski go either, cos i think Roeder likes him too much. Realistically, the only one that i can see realistically leaving is Bramble - but it wouldn't surprise me in the sligtest if he were to stay. 1, because there's still the tiniest glimmer of hope that he'll turn out to be a decent defender - well, most managers seem to think that anyway - i know i don't. And 2, we won't be able to get anyone in to 'replace' him.
  11. Jesus Wept. We are 'linked' (at NOTW standard, that is) with Forlan every window. He was fucking toss in England.
  12. Wouldn't be surprised if the away kit was white tbh. We've got a habit of making our away kits stupidly close to our homes, and they'll probably reckon it's black enough to do it. Blue and black faded stripes. Black with light grey trim. Cream white with thick dark blue stripe with black shorts. Grey and grey. Would like to see us go yellow or orange tbh.
  13. Evidently not, mate! http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/8260/bluecollartrimto6.png
  14. Not sure. I don't like gay piping, especially when there's too much of it. Whatever happened to simple trims?
  15. Alternatively, you could go to www.nufc.co.uk , but will post up anyway.

    Andy Cole

Is that in response to the Carroll remark? In that case, i'm with you - i've no idea why somoene would do that. And presumably seeing as NUFC06 has seen Carroll nowhere other than the substitute appearances witnessed in the European games, its difficult to see where his judgement has come from. How anyone would pick an 18-year-old fish out of water with no Premiership experience whatsoever, over one of the most prolific goalscorers in the Premiership (second only to Shearer), who would boast experience and determination for one of the clubs he unsurprisingly holds close to his heart... is beyond me. I haven't seen anything of Carroll, but his goalscoring record is impressive enough in the youth leagues, i'd much rather see him go out on loan before being chucked straight into the first team. Of course, we're speaking entirely hypothetically, but it's frustrating when people judge youngsters who they've never seen play before. And that comment there was just plain daft.
  17. Souness tried it and it didn't work one bit.
  18. Woodgate would be ace but i'll be surprised if he leaves Boro. Even more surprised if it was to come to us.

    Andy Cole

Wouldn't have wanted him back cos i'm sick of us succombing to sentiment, bringing back players and staff that are either no longer good enough or never were. Nobby aside. That said, Cole probably would have been useful in January.
