  1. Looked offside initially...
  2. WHY?? If you read the next sentence, I have thoroughly explained that statement. Have you bollocks. It's an excuse for a reason. 'Players don't improve at Newcastle'. Load of shit, mate. You don't need a reason you just want to write him off and write the club off.
  3. Fucking shut up about Luque. Dyer... i fail to agree with anyone who claims that he hasn't significantly improved the team, and our season. Largely because he's brought Martins on very, very well. Martins would have scored half the goals he has done if he was playing week-in, week-out withi Sibierski or Luque.
  4. Aye that's a very good point. I'm all for bringing in another young defender, but i think we should get that cheaply in Gooch (presuming he keeps up his adequate form). But an experienced centre-back must be a priority for that position, because the likes of Taylor, Edgar, etc - maybe even Ramage - will thrive from that.
  5. There really is no pleasing some people. Makes you wonder what some of our 21-year-olds have to do.
  6. In the last couple of games perhaps, certainly not overall. Personally, i would try and do everything to keep him unless they offered ridiculous money. We're currently struggling to find one top-6-standard central defender to play alongside him, are we really going to find two for just £6-7m? Exactly. I am not saying sell, but it is a fact that of late, Titus has been miles better and if Taylor shows Brambles kind of improvement then we are going to have two very good CB's.. So people are STILL living on the lie that Titus is turning the corner, and is actually a top class defender underneath it all. Five years on and people are still relying on a useless non-fact. No. He has periods of a season where he'll play really well. Like now. Then be abnormally shit for the rest of it. Taylor has his flaws but he has been playing consistently almost all season. I say almost - you cannot criticise his improvement. On returning from a long injury, he was rubbish at the start of the season. It took him a month or two to regain his form. He improved dramatically as the season progressed.
  7. Making excuses before they lose/bigging us up to make it look better if they win... tbh.

Maybe we can snap Tomi Ameobi up n'all.

  10. get a grip - we've a 21 year old that came through the yourh system who has the potential to play for england, and you want to sell him now!!!! how about we keep the lad, get some full backs to the club so he can play in his proper position and make him the cornerstone of our team for 10 years? how old was john terry before he become as good as he is? at least 2-3 years older than taylor is now and the one thing taylor has in his favour is that he's faster than terry was at the same age suicide selling the lad, suicide A bit eccentric but i agree with the sentiment.

    Daniel Rose

Well it sounds promising, and it certainly fits in with Roeder's transfer policy. If he has the talent, which he obviously does, i'm up for it.
  12. Why do you think that? Why can't we bring him on any further? He's 21 for crying out loud and has already shown a lot of potential. Bramble, on the other hand, will always be Bramble. I seriously hope i'm gonna get whooshed here, but i swear you're mixing Taylor up with Ramage.
  13. Taylor won't go and we won't sell him.
  14. Enough from you. I know we are going to win end of. You heard it here first. Spurs are nothing compared to us, we just fkn muck it up sometimes but we are 5 times the team spurs are. If we didn't have injuries I assure you we would be sitting 5th in a piss poor premiership. We are 6pts off 6th and we had a shocking year of football. Spurs arguably had the better result on Thursday. Undoubtedly. Braga aren't going to win by two clear goals at White Hart Lane. Spurs are through.
  15. Well considering he was the only one that had posted in the thread...

Other way round. Winners of the Champions League automatically qualify. UEFA Cup winners do not. Surley when they changed the rule for the scouse then changed it for the UEFA cup? No rule was changed. In the Champions League, the victor has always qualified for the following competition. However, from England, only four teams maximum could qualify. It was a rarety that the winner that particular year, Liverpool, didn't finish in the Top 4. Everton did instead. That was where the controversy spread from. Ok, but i'm pretty sure that waffa cup winners qualify. Hence all the media saying its the best chance we have of playing in Europe next year. Like i say, not sure. This suggests otherwise, from the official UEFA site: http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/format/index.html First two subheadings.

Great to hear that a couple of big name sides are coming again. I enjoyed the PSV/Villerreal games; they pulled in some crowds and generated a decent game or two. And preparation-wise, it's better than playing Nuneaton and Scarborough. Nevertheless, i like the sounds of the local team invites.
