  1. Counter-balanced by the signing of Campbell, tbh. All hypothetical of course. Sylvain Distin - Free Curtis Davies - £8-10m (possibly even £6/7m if West Brom don't get promoted)* Leighton Baines - £6-8m Would be my preference. Not a hope in hellers of getting Campbell; Redknapp laughed it off today. *Though another preference is actually Luisao... and i'm being naughty because i've seen fairly little of him. But what i have seen, he looks a really good centre-half.
  2. Great shout, tbh. Not being sarcastic either, he's a good player who'll get better. Worst the carr IMO, my friends who support Arsenal say he is the worst right back in the team, the only reason he played this season was because of all the injurys they had this season in their back line. Is that really your opinion, then?
  3. Great shout, tbh. Not being sarcastic either, he's a good player who'll get better. EDIT: Although, i don't feel we need to spend any significant sort of money on right-back. There are certainly more pressing needs and we have adequate cover after Nobby. But i wouldn't be completely disappointed if we were to sign Hoyte (we won't like), because he is a good player.
  4. Can understand it, but sounds a bit naff. NSG, any chance they over-filtered and there wasn't a trace of 'juicy stuff'?
  5. Still don't mind it, tbh. Think it would look SO much better if we hadn't succombed to the standard plain back, that so many striped/hooped teams have done. It's like Celtic having a plain green back. You can say that there are stripes on the bottom, but the bottom is tucked in and you won't see them - or maybe glimpses of them - which will make it look utterly shit. In saying that - i think the new EPL names/numbers are smart! But i like the front - i do. Nice to see a return of the blue. I'll certainly be buying it, anyway.
  6. It was blatantly obvious that Campbell just needed to get out of Arsenal. You don't go from a world-class defender to a poor one just like that. He was just finished there, that's all. Not enough games, not enough support, not enough confidence - it had just gone sour. He's gone to Portsmouth to be the uber-leader, and speahead the defense, with an ecstatic welcoming from the supporters. And guess what. Fucking superb season. Insane that Roeder turned him down.
  7. Would have preferred United before tonight, although - it really is enjoyable watching them get utterly fucked.
  8. No need to sell Oba. He's been one of our best this season and he'll only get better. I agree, it'd be arguably a very good deal if we got four good players in, in exchange - but do you really think that will happen given our recent transfer misfortunes? Selling Martins could potentially be catastrophic, from both an on-the-field point of view and a squad point of view.
  9. Wasn't Owen actually a boyhood Everton fan?
  10. Jesus Christ. Only two trophies, 2nd in the league, Champions League semi-finalists - what a shite season! Yup, he'll be chucking himself off a bridge alright.
  11. Christ, imagine it. Milan-Liverpool in the final....... Eesh.
  12. Don't even joke about it. Gar! Come on United! Ah well, never a bad thing to see Chelsea fucking themselves up rotten.
  13. It's Kuyt... Ahh poo. Another Liverpool bumfest, then.
  14. Lampard ain't confident... Scores.
  15. Chelsea to win, Fowler to miss.
