I think it's about managing relationships with the press; it's virtually always question number one in the pressers - there's probably little to be gained from being overly objectionable about it, whereas pissing off all the local journos would be cutting your nose off to spite your face. Wor Eddie is as evasive about it as etiquette allows.

I mean, I say brilliant game, and it is entertaining - but *shock* as ridiculously long matches lead to an increase in goals. Getting to 90 minutes means basically nothing these days; kinda undermines the drama a bit. Even that dire match on the other channel somehow went to 99.

Sensational goal, like. Brilliant game.

What on earth were they doing throwing all those players forward?

He's rough around the edges but there looks to be a very, very good player in Cunha.

contact absolutely minuscule

Pleased to see the Hammers drop points. Old Trafford followed by Arsenal (h) up next for them.

Two brilliant calls from the lino in the Wolves ManU game.

There might be a bit of whatever the opposite of recency bias when it comes to Schar vs Woodgate. For twenty years, it's just been a known known that Woodgate was the best we'd ever had, ergo Schar can't possibly be. But he might be. I'm not in a great position to judge though cos I didn't see enough of Woodgate.

Only saw MOTD but Liverpool looked scarily good (again) tonight. They'll push Man City all the way.

Thing is, it may well properly click for Nunez, and if it does he's going to be unstoppable. There is some serious quality there, and he's got the physical attributes.

I'm as joyful and as positive as they come. It was a brilliant, deserved win but we were fortunate in that singular incident. I'm not even being critical, having some fortune is a good thing and usually earned.
-
I know, but an inch the other way and it's 2-3 after they built up a head of steam. Again, not saying we didn't deserve to win, but it was more good fortune than good management that we stayed two ahead pre-Tino sub.
-
True, when you compare chances in totality we still more than deserved it - I just meant we got away with one re that Watkins offside incident specifically.
-
Was very surprised that those were his first PL goals for 18 months (the Forest goal, I guess?) I've always thought of him as a goalscorer; at one point he was at 1 in 10 for us. Hopefully he nabs a few more cos fackin 'ew oy lav a Schar goal.

Fair enough. I wonder if he'd have raised it if VAR wasn't in existence. Agree re the still image.

Incredible call from the linesman. Mad that they feel sure enough to raise their flag calls like that, but keep it down for others - like when Murphy was over a yard offside. It's one of those where, if there's no VAR, and the flag stays down... is anyone really complaining? It's so marginal. Said in the match thread that it was a miracle it wasn't 2-3 and it really was. Would've been of our own making, too; Tino should've been on much sooner really.

is this tongue in cheek? Top 6 would be a fucking sensational outcome.

We're 8-2 on aggregate against them this season so it's a pretty weak claim for bragging rights from Kevin Bridges.
