I mean, I say brilliant game, and it is entertaining - but *shock* as ridiculously long matches lead to an increase in goals. Getting to 90 minutes means basically nothing these days; kinda undermines the drama a bit. Even that dire match on the other channel somehow went to 99.

There might be a bit of whatever the opposite of recency bias when it comes to Schar vs Woodgate. For twenty years, it's just been a known known that Woodgate was the best we'd ever had, ergo Schar can't possibly be. But he might be. Incredible call from the linesman. Mad that they feel sure enough to raise their flag calls like that, but keep it down for others - like when Murphy was over a yard offside. It's one of those where, if there's no VAR, and the flag stays down... is anyone really complaining? It's so marginal. Said in the match thread that it was a miracle it wasn't 2-3 and it really was. Would've been of our own making, too; Tino should've been on much sooner really.
